So I think we're about to have the draw for the semi-finals.

Birmingham Bears, Notts Outlaws, Glamorgan and Hampshire are about to discover who they'll face at Edgbaston on 2 September.

Former England batsman Rob Key has a velvet bag in his hand and is about to do the honours.

  5. Captains' reactionpublished at 22:10 British Summer Time 25 August 2017

Birmingham Bears beat Surrey by six wickets

Bears captain Grant Elliott speaking to Sky Sports:

"These T20 games are insane. It was a tough win and now we're into a home finals and a great opportunity for our team.

    Surrey captain Gareth Batty:

"We felt we had a par score. We've played on surfaces like that before, scored 200 and lost, so we felt we needed a few more at halfway."

Should Grant Elliott have been given out?

Keith Stewart: Simple law change would fix this: give the benefit of the doubt to the fielder, even if the ball touches the grass. A wicket for effort essentially.

Lewis Starks: Soft signal not out - in a situation like today - no signal should be made and third umpire decides!! Stonewall catch costs a game.

Paul Speller: What a joke. How can the on-field umpire give a not out from that distance? Disgraceful.

  7. Bears reach Finals Daypublished at 22:02 British Summer Time 25 August 2017

Birmingham Bears are applauding the supporters that have travelled to London for this quarter-final. They're delighted and rightly so - they'll get the chance to regain the trophy they last won in 2014 on Saturday, 2 September.

Very soon, we should have the semi-final draw.

  8. Out? Not out?published at 22:00 British Summer Time 25 August 2017

Birmingham Bears beat Surrey by six wickets

So let's see it again - probably the most controversial moment of the game.

Grant Elliott was in fine form when it seemed Rory Burns caught him. It was referred to the third umpire, who deemed the ball had bounced first.

    What do you think?

    Bears 207-4

It's all over! Colin de Grandhomme swipes a boundary to fine leg. The Bears will be at Finals Day on 2 September.

A fantastic run chase, but I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Grant Elliott's reprieve.

Bears 197-4 - eight needed off six balls

Oh my goodness me. Oh my word. Moises Henriques spills a very presentable chance at extra cover. And the Bears scramble through for a single.

Eight needed off the last over. Rikki Clarke, with figures of 2-46 off his three overs thus far, to bowl it.

Wow. Single, dot, single from Jade Dernbach's first three balls. It's tense out there.

    Bears 190-4 - need 15 off 12 balls

Oh, what an effort from Moises Henriques! Flying one-handed, he can't cling on a difficult chance offered by Colin de Grandhomme.

A very good over from Sam Curran - only four runs off it.

Two powerful cover drives to the boundary from Colin de Grandhomme, three fours in the over, and the Bears are creeping ever quicker to their target.

    Is this a key moment?

Jade Dernbach sends down a slower ball that seems destined to trap Colin de Grandhomme plumb in front, but the batsman gets a tickle on the ball and it beats the infield to go for four.

Four overs left, 37 runs needed to win. How are your nerves?

A few weeks ago, Kent chased down more than 200 to beat Surrey in a group match at The Oval. Birmingham Bears are just about favourites to repeat the feat here.

Sam Curran is back into the attack for Surrey and his third over, which contains a couple of wides, goes for just the one boundary.

But the Bears don't need anything outlandish right now - the mantra for them will be just to stay in and keep the scoreboard ticking over, and that should be enough to see them home.

    Bears 150-4 (14 overs)

    Ebony Rainford-Brent
Ex-England batter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

At the moment, it's a canter for the Bears. A few fours and sixes from here and it's done.

Looking at the comparative scores, this is the point where Surrey lost a bit of momentum towards the back end of their innings.

  20. Surrey crowd ready to revoltpublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 25 August 2017

    Bears 150-4 (target 205)

    Kalika Mehta

The Surrey crowd are not happy. One and all at The Oval believed Grant Elliott was out there and loud boos followed when the Bears' skipper was reprieved.

A big call by the TV umpire and if the result doesn't go Surrey's way, there will undoubtedly be plenty of conversations about that 'wicket' over the weekend.
