  1. Vipers 82-3published at 12 overs

    Du Preez 11, Wyatt 13

That's a drop that gets worse every time you see it. Horrible. Freya Davies is back on, and Mignon du Preez swats her off the back foot for two. That's a better shot though, another furious cut from du Preez and it runs away to the boundary and into the ropes.

  2. dropped catch

Wyatt dropped on 6published at 11 overs

    Vipers 73-3

Oh, no! That's terrible from Sophie Luff down at deep mid-wicket! Danni Wyatt hit the ball straight to her, she had it in her hands, and she's dropped it over the boundary for six! Of all the times!

Hayley Matthews hit some big shots during the powerplay, including this four.

It was her international team-mate Stafanie Taylor who ended Matthews' innings, taking a fine diving catch off her own bowling.

  4. Vipers 64-3published at 10 overs

    Taylor 2-0-13-3

That's a very good over from Stafanie Taylor - two wickets and six runs from it. Mignon du Preez is the new batsman at the crease.

Wickets are now falling and the Storm are coming right back into this Women's Super League final.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.5 overs

Bates lbw Taylor 21 (Vipers 63-3)

Gone! Two in the over for Stafanie Taylor! That looks bang out, to me. Suzie Bates went down on one knee, looking to sweep, and that ball stayed straight. She was across her stumps and got smacked right in front of middle and leg.

  7. Vipers 63-2published at 9.2 overs

Here's Danni Wyatt, and there goes Danni Wyatt! She forces her first ball over cover with a nice move down the pitch and a fine drive.

Rachel Priest has done good work there after missing a previous stumping opportunity. That's a blow for the Vipers because Georgia Adams is capable of hitting a few boundaries.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.1 overs

Adams st Priest b Taylor 2 (Vipers 58-2)

Out! That back foot is hovering in the air! That's good work from Rachel Priest, especially after she fluffed the earlier chance.

It was Stafanie Taylor who beat the outside edge, Priest gathered quickly...

Has Rachel Priest stumped Georgia Adams? We're going upstairs...

  12. 6 runs

    Vipers 58-1published at 9 overs

Georgia Adams is the daughter of ex-England man Chris Adams, cricket fact fans. Ooft. Six! That's glorious from Suzie Bates, shimmying down the wicket and lofting the ball back down the ground and high over the ropes. Jodie Dibble is the unfortunate bowler on the receiving end of that particular blow.

  13. Vipers 49-1published at 8 overs

Georgia Adams is the latest batsman at the crease, and she's off the mark with a single.

That was a brilliant catch by Stafanie Taylor. Hayley Matthews looked like she was trying to play across it to play it down the ground and almost got a leading edge.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.5 overs

    Matthews c&b Taylor 31 (Vipers 47-1)

No it won't! What a catch from Stafanie Taylor! Matthews chips a delivery back at the bowler and Matthews dives and gets both hands to a low offering to her left. The first wicket falls for the Vipers.

  16. Missed stumpingpublished at 7.4 overs

That's more like it from Suzie Bates! She advances down the wicket and hoicks the ball over mid-wicket where Sophie Luff makes a dive, misses the ball and ends up helping it into the ropes. New bowler Stafanie Taylor plonks her hands on her hips and spears in a fuller delivery to bring her team-mate on strike, and there's grins all around as Matthews aims an almighty sweep at Taylor and misses! The ball was in keeper Priest's hands and out so quickly! Will that be costly?

I think we'll see Storm try to take the pace off the ball from here. That was quite effective in the first game.

  18. Vipers 42-0published at 7 overs

    Run rate 6.00

Heather Knight turns to Jodie Dibble to keep Matthews quiet and the West Indies batsman pushes a single away, before Bates does the same. That's a tidier over, with just four runs from it.

  19. dropped catch

Bates dropped on 6published at 6 overs

    Vipers 38-0

A superb stop from Rachel Priest cuts off a leggy delivery from Anya Shrubsole, but Matthews gives the next one the treatment, picking it up and hoicking it over long leg and into the rope. Gorgeous, gorgeous stroke play. And now Bates has been dropped! It went quickly to Alice Macleod at fine leg as Bates steered it around the corner - and it was in and out of the hands in the blink of an eye! Shrubsole is thrilled with this latest development.

  20. Vipers 31-0published at 5 overs

    Bates 6, Matthews 24

Shot! Freya Davies is welcomed into the attack by being swung for four by Hayley Matthews! Short, wide, and given the treatment. Georgia Hennessy then fluffs a simple piece of fielding as the ball dribbles though her legs and away for a single. Suzie Bates, meanwhile, is playing on a different pitch to Matthews. She swings her arms, aiming for the same shot Matthews played, and ends up sending a thick edge to third man. That brings Matthews back on strike and she clips the ball beautifully over deep mid-wicket for four! What a shot.
