  1. 6 runs

    Storm 77-1published at 8 overs

    Need 69 from 72 balls

Suzie Bates is on now to continue drying up the runs. And, er, that'll be six for Rachel Priest! That's just been belted high and long over the mid-wicket boundary. A massive hit. Fran Wilson then gets into the act with a pull for four of her own. 14 from that over, and the Vipers are in trouble here.

  2. Storm 64-1published at 7 overs

    Priest 54, Wilson 1

Arran Brindle has been brought on to restore some parity, cap firmly in place. She sends down her medium-pacers and neither player can get her away. There's just two runs on offer in the over.

Linsey Smith, who is breathing very hard, has left the field, accompanied by the physio. She looks a little upset as she walks off.

Just the 26 runs from that over. Awesome hitting by Rachel Priest.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Priestpublished at 6 overs

    Storm 62-1

That was the best of the lot from Rachel Priest. Linsey Smith serves up another horrendous full toss - it's wide, it's high, and Priest swings her arm to get yet another boundary. And again! Wide and given the full Rachel Priest treatment as she swings her way to a 26-ball half-century. What a performance!

  6. 6 runs

    Storm 54-1published at 5.4 overs

Linsey Smith continues while an unimpressed Heather Knight watches on from the dug out. She strikes Rachel Priest on the pad and there's an almighty shout from the keeper for lbw. She'd hit the cover off the ball, mind, and Priest responds with a gorgeous drive that pierces the field for four. Oh, and that's a no ball from Smith! It's gone over waist height, which means a free hit for Rachel Priest - and the ball gets dispatched high over the ropes for six! Shot!

Fran Wilson needs to support Rachel Priest here.

If these two are still together in the 10th over then there's a good chance Storm will win this game.

  8. Storm 37-1published at 5 overs

    Target 146

And here is Hayley Matthews, with new batsman Fran Wilson hovering at the non-striker's end. Matthews, bowling in a cap, pats down her off-break and Priest gets low and sweeps away to the boundary. And again! The opposite side of the wicket this time, Priest finding the ropes with a cut that's both delicate and powerful.

    Knight b Smith 6 (Storm 28-1)

Gone! Linsey Smith had been given a bit of tap in that over but she's bowled the England captain. Heather Knight shuffled forward and the ball went around her legs and onto the off stump. Smith celebrates by doing the double dab with Hayley Matthews. Which is a thing, apparently.

  10. 6 runs

    Storm 28-0published at 3.4 overs

There we go! Rachel Priest unleashes on consecutive short deliveries from Linsey Smith, with the first going for four, the second just nipping over the ropes for six. That's an almighty shot! A full toss gets similar treatment but a fielder gets their body in the way to cut the ball off.

  11. Storm 19-0published at 3 overs

    Target 146

That's four. A lovely stroke from Rachel Priest, swinging her bat and cutting hard to crack the ball into the ropes. That was absolutely leathered, as my father would say. Some fine fielding, first by Danni Wyatt and again by Suzie Bates, limits the Storm to singles rather than boundaries.

    Priest 7, Knight 5

Left-armer Linsey Smith will take the next over, and she's summarily carved for four by Rachel Priest! Priest drove back down the ground and the ball just evaded a diving Smith. Priest then tries a similar shot over mid-wicket but a sterling dive by Suzie Bates, right in front of the boundary rope, saves three runs. Brilliant work.

  13. Storm 7-0published at 1 over

    Target 146

Natasha Farrant will open the bowling, and Rachel Priest swipes at the opening delivery and thumps it into the ground! That just about avoided the stumps. Priest turns a single away and Heather Knight does the same, before the England skipper gets a tickle on a leg side delivery to help it to the boundary. Meanwhile, Stafanie Taylor is using a leg roller to try and work out her cramp and there's a grimace on her face.

Charlotte Edwards leads the Southern Vipers huddle, with plenty of head bobbing and arm waving as she addresses her side. Heather Knight and Rachel Priest bump gloves and make their way to the middle.

Can they chase down Vipers' total of 145-5?

So, Western Storm will need 146 if they are to take the Southern Vipers' crown.

Here's a few choice shots from the Vipers innings.

Fireworks out in the middle from Charlotte Edwards and the t-shirt cannons are out to excite the crowd even more.

There are thought to be around 3,500 spectators in Hove on this picturesque evening. Are they witnessing Edwards' last ever match? Let's hope not!

    Charlotte Edwards
Southern Vipers captain on BBC Test Match Special

I didn't think I had that in me!

We needed to get over 140 but I didn't expect the last over to go for so many, especially with Anya Shrubsole bowling.

But we will have to bowl well to defend this because it's a good wicket and a quick outfield.

Charlotte Edwards finishes 20 not out from eight balls. That's a cracking last over and an intimidating total...

  19. Vipers 145-5published at 20 overs

And the free hit goes for four! That's an expensive over, 17 runs coming from it, and the Southern Vipers finish on 145-5.

  20. Vipers 141-5published at 19.5 overs

Last ball of the innings - and it's a no ball! Edwards clobbers it for four anyway. Hello, free hit...
