"You won't see me playing in this tournament again. Tonight is my last game. Somethings have to come to an end.

"I'm really proud of the team but it's time for me to move on.

"I'm looking forward to the next chapter and I'm pleased and proud of the team this year and I walk away happy.

"I knew halfway through the tournament that it was my last year but I've enjoyed every minute.

"It's been a pretty easy decision. I've loved playing in this competition but it's time for the younger girls to play against the best players in the world."

Stafanie Taylor, not content with hitting the winning runs in the semi-final earlier, finished this one in style for Western Storm.

"Sometimes you can't account for an innings like Rachel Priest's. You always know in Twenty20 cricket that one person can win a game and that's what's happened today.

"It blew us apart and we didn't really have any answers.

"I would have taken 145 at the start of the game but you have to bowl well. It was an incredible innings from Rachel Priest.

"I'm really proud of the team to get to the final two years in a row. We weren't quite good enough today."

Rachel Priest is the player of the match for her stunning 72 from 36 deliveries.

She told Sky Sports: "Stafanie wanted to go on without a runner but I'm not the quickest so we got a runner out there! We've done this win the hard way but we've played a good final here. It was a good team effort."

Western Storm captain Heather Knight speaking on Sky Sports: "It's been a real squad effort and I'm chuffed with the girls. I'm delighted to get over the line. Charlotte has been a stalwart for English cricket at the long time and a lot of players coming through look up to Charlotte. Tonight wasn't a fitting end to the amazing career that she's had."

Charlotte wasn't on the field in that World Cup final just gone but those players that won the trophy were very much Charlotte Edwards' players.

It might not be a winning day for Charlotte Edwards' side but she's signed off in style with the bat.

I was one of those naive youngsters that bowled at Charlotte in the county game. I'm really pleased she's been able to do this on her own terms but I can imagine it's never easy to walk away. She's made an incredible name for herself and she should be incredibly proud of what she's achieved.

Charlotte Edwards has juts confirmed on 5 live that today will be her last appearance in the Super League. She says she "doesn't know" if it's her last game of cricket but that she is done "at this level." It's been a genuine pleasure to watch her throughout her career, and she has done wonders for the women's game in this country.

Anya Shrubsole speaking on BBC Radio 5 live: "Rachel Priest has really stood up for us. She's been so dangerous and when she gets going like that, she's unstoppable.

"Under lights the pitch seemed to come on a little bit better. We were always going to bat second. I think it was a better pitch than the first game suggested. This second game was one or the batters and ours came out on top.

"Stafanie took a lot of responsibility in the first game, seeing us home, and she's done that again in this game. We've won in the hard way but it's the theme of my summer - beating the team in the final that you lost to at the start."

The Southern Vipers battered Western Storm in the first match of the Super League. Now Storm have taken the Vipers title. How pleasingly circular.

It's been a fantastic performance by the Storm who have been powered to this by Rachel Priest, who took the game by the scruff of the neck.

We've got a new winner on the WSL after last year when the Vipers beat the Storm in the final. The roles have been reversed.

The Western Storm players come charging onto the pitch wihle a gutted Charlotte Edwards consolers her team-mates. Heather Knight gathers her players to her and offers a few words of congratulations, before they all start jumping up and down like kids on Christmas day.
