There may not have been many boundaries hit in this semi-final but the crowd have still had plenty to cheer.

With activities aplenty, including getting your picture taken with the World Cup and having your face painted with a viper, star or storm cloud, there is a lot to do here whilst taking in the cricket.

And, two wickets in two balls from Marizanne Kapp awoke the majority of the crowd once more.

    Need 84 from 102 balls

Sciver continues, hitting that awkward length, and she squares up new batsman Sophie Luff. Luff takes four balls to get her eye in before picking a delivery up off her pads and popping it over deep mid-wicket and into the boundary rope. That's a fine bit of timing from the right-hander.

    Priest b Sciver 11 (Storm 12-3)

What a delivery! Captain Natalie Sciver brings herself on and strikes with her first ball! That was a decent length delivery that just nipped back, a hint of cross-seam, and it's hammered into Rachel Priest's off-stump as she took a step back.

  6. Storm 12-2published at 2 overs

Full from Kapp and Taylor watches it go by her off stump and through to the keeper. What an over! A double wicket maiden.

It'll be Stafanie Taylor to try and keep out the hat-trick ball, a slip in place...

That ball seemed to come back in slightly after showing Heather Knight the outswinger.

That is world class bowling from Marizanne Kapp,

Wilson lbw Kapp 0 (Storm 12-2)

Marizanne Kapp is on a hat-trick! Full, straight, and Fran Wilson is susceptible to an lbw dismissal first up. She misses with the attempted shovel forward, Kapp strikes the pad, and up goes the umpire.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.4 overs

    Knight b Kapp 1 (Storm 12-1)

Gone! Knight, taking a bit of a step forward, goes for a big drive and ends up having her stumps rearranged. That's a lovely bit of bowling from Kapp, the ball just nipping back off the seam and beating the shot.

That wasn't a bad over, and yet it's cost 12 runs. An ominous start. Here's Marizanne Kapp.

  12. Storm 12-0published at 1 over

    Target 101

Rachel Priest takes a second to take stock and carves the first ball of the chase past backward point for a couple. And that's four! Priest is a powerful player and she shuffles back into her crease to crack the ball through point and away to the ropes. Ooh, and another four to end the over! This one is more aerial as Priest takes a step down the wicket, bends her back leg and whacks the ball over mid-off and away for four.

Plenty happening in those final few overs. First some fine fielding - how important could those saved runs be at the end of this match?

There was an inventive four from Laura Marsh.

And three wickets for Anya Shrubsole in the final over - this was the third.

  15. 'Keep a cool head and enjoy it'published at 15:35 British Summer Time 1 September 2017

Western Storm bowler Claire Nicholas, who took 1-14, speaking on Sky Sports: "The atmosphere is brilliant and we've made a decent start. We wanted to keep in nice and tidy first up. When we played them at The Oval, we gave them too much width.

"There's some of the best players in the world in their team. I took three wickers against them in the group stages and that worked to my advantage. The whole thing has been amazing. I've played with some fantastic international players and I'd love to be a part of it again next year.

"I'd be telling our batsmen to keep a cool head, go out there and just enjoy it."

Surrey Stars will be disappointed with that. They would have wanted a minimum of 130 but you are never out of a T20 game.

They have beaten Western Storm already and with their attack they know they can bowl this team out.

Well. That's not what Surrey Stars will have wanted, given they won the toss and opted to bat. They just struggled to time their shots on a slowish wicket, and a slow outfield too boot. Slower balls will be the way to go for the bowlers.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 20 overs

    Farrell c Knight b Shrubsole 0 (Stars 100-7)

That's a fine bit of death bowling from Anya Shrubsole, taking three wickets in the over as Rene Farrell slaps a delivery high into the air and Heather Knight gets under it with ease.

Western Storm will need 101 to reach the final for the second year in a row.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.5 overs

Dunkley st Priest b Shrubsole 30 (Stars 100-6)

Out! That's an odd dismissal. Sophia Dunkley was looking to sweep, missed the ball, advanced forward - and Rachel Priest, after initially fumbling the ball, managed to snatch it and whip the bails off.
