WICKET Carlson (c Ambrose b Stone) 3published at 5.4 overs

    Glamorgan 48-4

A proper pace bowler indeed. He is just too fast, too good for Kiran Carlson. Olly Stone bangs it in at 90mph, Carlson gets an edge and Tim Ambrose takes the catch at shoulder-height.

Glamorgan in desperate, desperate trouble already.

Glamorgan can't afford to lose another one.

Wickets are so important in T20 - save them if you want to have a crescendo at the end of the innings.

  9. Glamorgan 46-3, chasing 176 to winpublished at 5 overs

    Rudolph 29, Carlson 2

One over left of the Power Play and the cameras focus on a miserable-looking Glamorgan bench.

    James Taylor

    That's an outstanding delivery.

An easy catch for Ambrose behind the stumps and that is another huge wicket for Birmingham Bears, and a massive loss for Glamorgan.

Disaster for Glamorgan. South African David Miller, facing only his second ball, feathers a deceptively fast one from Aaron Thomason.

Wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose holds on to it, and Birmingham are in control, with Glamorgan in all kinds of trouble.

That is a brilliant catch - there's life in the old dog yet. He sprinted away to his left, dived full length and managed to hold onto it.

The most impressive thing was how he controlled his dive.

  14. wicket

    WICKET - Ingram (c Elliott b Stone) 11published at 12:46 British Summer Time 2 September 2017

    Glamorgan 31-2

Catches win matches. And in only four overs, Birmingham have made two absolutely stunning catches.

Take a bow captain Grant Elliott. Danger man Colin Ingram hits it high, high into the sky. Elliott sprints after it, with his eyes on the ball and dives to his left. A truly, remarkable piece of cricket.

It's not very often the Bears have taken a wicket in the first over in this competition.

In fact, it's only the second time it's happened in 15 innings in T20 Blast this summer.

They have one of the worst economy rates in the opening over - but they're off to a better start here.
