  5. 'Wells lit up afternoon'published at 15:30 British Summer Time 28 September 2017

    Sussex 565 & 157-3 v Notts 477

    Adrian Harms
    Sports reporter, BBC Sussex

With the game heading for a draw Luke Wells has lit up the afternoon scoring his 4th century of the season in just 97 balls including 4 sixes, only Kumar Sangakkara has scored more Championship runs this season.

32 overs remain in the day and with no tea time declaration this game is heading for a draw and promotion for Nottinghamshire.

  6. 'A great season for Graham Clark'published at 15:27

    Worcestershire 335 & 242-3 dec v Durham 208 & 163-6 - tea

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

Jennings' final innings for Durham was another disappointment. Fitting he was caught in the slips going forward, as he so often has done this season. He's lost his mojo. His last eight innings have been worth just 91 runs at an average of 11.3. Maybe he needs a new start? And if Durham had a bigger squad would he actually be playing at the moment?

In contrast it's been a great season for Graham Clark who followed his 60 in the first innings with 62 in the second. He finishes the season with 769 championship runs, while Cameron Steel scored 899 in his first full season.

There was also a lovely ovation for 41-year-old Paul Collingwood, who has probably played in his final Championship match here. He was out for 36 to a grubber from Ed Barnard. The sides won't meet in this format next year.

  7. 'A gorgeous afternoon at New Road'published at 15:26 British Summer Time 28 September 2017

    Worcestershire 335 & 242-3 dec v Durham 208 & 163-6 - tea

On a gorgeous afternoon at New Road the hosts need just another four wickets to wrap up the Division Two title.

Durham will not win. They were set 370 in 76 overs so that wasn't really on the cards. They have to try and bat out 33 more overs now (a minimum of) if they are to survive.

Durham haven't lost here since 2003. There have been six visits since and they have won three of them. But they have been second best throughout this match, perhaps rocked by the announcement of the departures of Keaton Jennings and Graham Onions.

  8. Resumption at Grace Roadpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 28 September 2017

    Leicestershire 128 & 270 v Northants 202 & 162-2

    They're back out at Leicestershire.

Northants need a further 35 runs for victory, Luke Procter is 14 away from a fourth first-class century.

It doesn't look like the win will take Northants up though.

  10. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 28 September 2017

    Warwickshire 188 & 186 v Hampshire 116 & 113-4

What a recovery by Hampshire after losing those three quick wickets straight after lunch.

James Vince (27*) and Liam Dawson (9*) have resisted everything the Warwickshire bowlers have thrown at them for 28.5 overs. Dawson has batted for 90 balls!

They have 33 overs left to survive in the final session - a draw sends Middlesex down to Division Two.

  11. Warwickshire turn to part-timerspublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 28 September 2017

    Warwickshire 188 & 186 v Hampshire 116 & 113-4 - target 259

Warwickshire have turned to Matthew Lamb and Alex Thomson as they look for a breakthrough on the cusp of tea.

James Vince has been outfoxed a couple of times but the former Hampshire captain has earned the luck he is now being afforded.

34 overs remaining for the visitors at Edgbaston, 26 until the new ball is available.

  12. Tea at Hove and Grace Roadpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 28 September 2017
