It's been another good session for Division Two 'champions elect' Worcestershire.

After Daryl Mitchell reached his seventh century of the season, two Joe Leach wickets have left Durham in trouble in their pursuit of 370.

It's also lunch at Bristol where Gloucestershire are 48-2, chasing 381 to beat Derbyshire, after some friendly bowling set up an earlier declaration.

  2. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 28 September 2017

    Warwickshire 188 & 186 v Hampshire 116 & 64-1 - target 259

A brilliant morning's work for Hampshire as they get through to lunch without losing a wicket.

Tom Alsop and Sean Ervine were living a charmed life towards the end of the session as spinner Jeetan Patel began to make the ball turn and bounce.

The visitors require another 195 runs to win or to survive for a 65 overs to ensure they avoid relegation.

We are set for a humdinger of an afternoon.

Joe: Say what you like about the pitch, it hasn’t misbehaved in the final 4/5 sessions of the game, Middlesex just not good enough

Josh Caswell: We are staying up! #GreatEscape

  4. The Taunton pitchpublished at 12:30 British Summer Time 28 September 2017

Somerset beat Middlesex by 231 runs

There may be another twist in the Somerset survival story.

The match's cricket liaison officer, Wayne Noon, will make a judgement on the state of the pitch after Middlesex raised the issue after the first day.

Somerset can only be docked points if he decides the pitch is 'poor' but the general consensus is that this is unlikely.

    Warwickshire 188 & 186 v Hampshire 116 & 59-1 - target 259

With Middlesex losing at Taunton, the attention has turned to Edgbaston.

There are five minutes remaining until lunch, with Hampshire having survived the first hour of play today well.

However, Jeetan Patel has started to spin the ball miles. Can Tom Alsop (20 not out) and Sean Ervine (21 not out) stick in there until the break?

  7. Play to begin at 13:00 BSTpublished at 12:22

    Sussex 565 v Nottinghamshire 477

A wet outfield after heavy overnight rain saw the first session wiped out at Hove.

However, after an early lunch play will begin at 13:00 BST with Nottinghamshire having to do very little secure promotion.

A draw will be good enough to see the Outlaws playing Division One cricket next season.
