Australia opener Nicole Bolton on BBC Test Match Special: "The game is in the balance. We finished them off early and started conservatively and were losing wickets at key times, but Ellyse Perry got us back into the game.

"Brunt and Shrubsole are key bowlers for England and they thrive on early wickets. The spinners came on and dried things up but hopefully we can bat really long into day three, make their bowlers tired and see if we can punish them."

Australia all-rounder Ellyse Perry told Cricket Australia: "We spoke about it at the dinner break that England found it better to bat in the last session yesterday. England bowled very disciplined, we didn't really hit our straps and that put us in a hole when we lost wickets. It was a hard day. Laura Marsh bowled really well, she bowled a lot of overs and didn't miss her spots, so finding gaps was hard. It was amazing to have so many people here and a pleasure to be out there."

England spinner Laura Marsh on BBC Test Match Special: "The game is in the balance. Both sides have been on top at various parts of the game. Ellyse Perry has played very well but our bowlers were brilliant.

"There was some early swing but it wasn't doing too much after that and they stuck at it. It was great for Katherine Brunt to get that wicket at the end.

"There wasn't a huge amount of spin so it was vital we kept the ball straight and bowled at the wickets. We would have liked 300 but 280 is a good score - hopefully we can have a good session tomorrow and pick up a few wickets."

I think England will just see how the first session goes tomorrow. The ball will be relatively new, Brunt and Shrubsole will be fresh, but Perry is the glue that will keep Australia together. There are a few challenges out there.

England are 103 ahead, but that could be a day-and-a-half's batting the way the game's been going.

England all-rounder Georgia Elwiss told Cricket Australia: "The wicket's a little bit slow, by the time I came on it was pretty dead so I was just trying to hold up an end, which I think I did. We fought pretty hard and we'll be looking to push on tomorrow. We were working in small targets, we knew it would be a crucial first half-hour, Bolts and Mooney put on a good partnership but cricket's like a game of chess at times. Marshy and Ecclestone tied them down, Sophie takes the game in her stride and she's not been fazed by anything. She's bowled beautifully today."

Australia wrapped up England's innings pretty quickly and England's opening bowlers were not able to find the swing as much as Australia did.

Australia will be looking to bat all day tomorrow but both teams can still win which makes this match so interesting.

I think Ellyse Perry is the wicket which could decide the Ashes, one way or the other.

Looks like this will be the last over. Certainly if close friends Perry and Healy (Perry was a bridesmaid at Healy's wedding to Mitchell Starc) come down for a chat between each delivery. Brunt would love another wicket here, she digs in a bouncer, Perry ducks and is almost bowled as it doesn't get up that high! Rather like Perry did to Lydia Greenway in the last Test at Canterbury in 2015.

A hostile over to end the day - England lead the Aussies by 103 at the halfway stage of the match. Whose position would you rather be in? Good question.

I think it's still even stevens. Australia have wickets in hand for tomorrow, with the best part of the day to bat - if they can get up to about 250 by tea, they might be able to get a lead.

Perry may be Australia's top gun, but she was running into the danger zone there - a big mix-up with Healy nearly sees one of them run out. But Perry survives and manages to guide a four backward of point and another through the covers. Just as we found last night, the new ball may bring wickets - but it also flies around a lot faster too.

Rosie Connor: Re: Chris Harden (10:08). Sounds like a bit of a cop out to me. I can think of plenty of examples of men's Test matches with low run rates and/or either team batting/bowling for the draw or playing for the last day. Women once again having to go above and beyond to impress.

After that drop last over, Brunt was motioning that she didn't think Winfield was correctly placed at second slip - and that may be the reason she has a long chat with skipper Knight before this over, before Knight trots back to her position at first slip.

Brunt's first ball to Healy is tantalising, outside off stump, while she's so close to becoming another lbw victim when she tries heaving across the line. But Healy survives a maiden over.
