New ball available in eight overs
Perry languidly guides Elwiss for a single down to Ecclestone at fine leg. While England are just trying to get to the new ball, Australia aren't trying to cash in - so it's a shame there's no fast-forward button for us to get to 80 overs.
And just when the game was getting a little dry, Haynes unleashes another handsome cover drive for four past two diving fielders. We're eight overs from the new ball.

The crowd today is 3,612. If this keeps up over the weekend, it'll be a very good atmosphere.
Perry 46, Haynes 13
Perry is slowly inching towards that half-century, advancing to 46 from 128 balls. This stand is worth 37.

It just looks as though Australia are trying to make sure they're still there tomorrow, so they can capitalise in the sun. But even then, with 35 overs in a session, if they're only scoring at two and over, they'll still be behind England at tea tomorrow. If they want to win, they'll need to show more intent.

England persist with the medium pace of Elwiss, who's kept it pretty tight to be fair. Just a single off the last ball.

You can tell England are just trying to get through to the new ball. But instead of trying to tie up both ends, you've got this period under the lights, why not try Katherine Brunt for a quick spell before the new ball?
The last things Heather Knight would want is for these two to settle into a partnership.
Jim Maxwell adds: I'd keep the spinners on, as it looks as though Shrubsole can't bowl long spells.
69 overs
England have a long-on in place for the right-handed Ellyse Perry, who's shown the occasional tendency to hit out against Marsh, but is content with a single at this stage.

There have been 68 overs - it'll be about rotating the bowlers until 80 overs when they can take the new ball and get Brunt and Shrubsole back on.
Aus 127-4
Elwiss, who started out as more of a bowling all-rounder but hasn't had too many opportunities to bowl in her recent England appearances, concedes a single to Perry who is two hits away from what would be her second Test fifty. Drinks.
Marsh hasn't conceded many boundaries today, but another attractive cover drive from Haynes reaches the rope.
We'll probably get drinks in another over's time.

Thomas Measures: Been watching cricket since the early 90’s, and I’ve not seen any keeper as good as Sarah Taylor. Unbelievable take.
Perry 41, Haynes 8
Georgia Elwiss is England's seventh bowler - having been selected ahead of Jenny Gunn for her batting, she's now going to send down some medium pace. And it's a perfectly respectable maiden over to Perry, who's her team-mate at Loughborough Lightning in the Super League.

There's been a lot of debate about the England jumpers. They've now got cream shirts with white jumpers. I remember when we used to have Australian overseas players at my club who'd have whiter-than-white trousers and then cream sweaters - I think white just suits Australia.
Corbin Middlemas adds: You shouldn't mix creams and whites. I'm happy with one or the other, but don't mix the two.

Thankfully from England, Marsh restores some control with a maiden at the other end.

England 207 all out with Jake Ball not able to bat. So Cricket Australia need 268 to inflict an embarrassing defeat on England.
We have 25 overs left to bowl tonight and England will hope for early wickets under the lights. Simon Milenko with 5-34 was the destroyer even though he has a modest first-class record.
England were thankful to Jonny Bairstow for a quick-fire 61, but he ran out of partners. Remember this CA XI only has 2 international players in the side and is fairly inexperienced
And if England were to lose, they’ll won’t enjoy the fact it is the same squad who will play them in the last warm-up game next week in Townsville,

That's better from Haynes, who's been a bit bogged down, but she manages to pierce the infield with a drive through the off side for two. Perry joins in the fun, swiping a two through the covers, it's 12 from the over - possibly the best over for Australia all innings - time to go back to spin? Perry, meanwhile, has 41 from 108 balls.

Sewell23: Big chance for another 2 or 3 wickets before close of play tonight. Get a nice healthy 1st innings lead
