Wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy told Cricket Australia: "England bowled really well yesterday but fortunately Ellyse Perry did brilliantly and it was a beautiful innings.

"It was very special for me [to be at the other end of the wicket.] I was fist pumping more than her when we were running down the wicket!

"What a fantastic innings though - she brought us back in the game. She went up another gear when we needed and full credit to her. She is a very special player.

"She was very embarrassed about [celebrating early] but it's not often you get to celebrate a double century, so why not do it twice!

"Tomorrow we just need to take 10 wickets and hopefully not have to bat again. If we get another opportunity to bat, we will chase well."

England fast bowler Katherine Brunt told Cricket Australia: "We realised the ball got very old quickly so we wanted to make it as hard as possible for themto score but when someone [Ellyse Perry] is hitting it that well there is not much you can do.

"We can only work with what we have got. It was arguably the worst time to bat for us [in the evening] because it is dewy and it can skid on. We will be looking to get back into it tomorrow morning.

"I have been working hard on my batting as I have been disappointed recently so hopefully I can do better."

Double centurion Ellyse Perry on TMS: "I really enjoyed it - it was perfect conditions for batting, we had such a positive start after Alyssa Healy laid a platform. I just got lucky today, I wanted to make the most of what's been the most special Test I've ever played in.

"We had a flat patch just before the dinner break, England set quite clever and tricky fields as once the ball got old it got tricky for them. It would have been nice to have a 200 lead rather than 160-odd, but that's Test cricket, it ebbs and flows."

What about your celebration when you thought you'd reached 200, but four was signalled rather than six?

"That's the second most embarrassing thing I've done in this match, after taking that catch after the ball hit me - the crowd tricked me as they were cheering as though it went for six. Their support was just incredible."

I'd think the England middle order will sleep a little better tonight than if they'd been two or three down tonight.

Only four wickets have fallen all day, there have been no tricks in the pitch.

Today has been all about Ellyse Perry - her maiden Test hundred and her maiden double hundred in the same day. But very pleasing for England that they got through the day unscathed. They'll be very happy.

Last over. Wellington to bowl. Slip, silly point and short leg in place. Beaumont thrusts her front pad forward (accompanied by her bat), and there's frustration for Australia as Beaumont sweeps very fine, past the keeper, and two byes are signalled. Beaumont cuts a single to bring Winfield on strike for the last delivery. Which she survives - that's it for day three.

Two overs left. Winfield shutting up shop against McGrath, that's a maiden over.

This isn't good for England fans' blood pressure. Wellington had dismissed Beaumont in the first innings with a ripping leg break - and now she gets a bottom edge onto the keeper's pads. It would have to take a superhuman wicketkeeper - for instance, a certain SJ Taylor - for that to be a chance of a catch.

Anya's a really good choice, I'm sure she would have put her hand up for that role. But they'll hope these two can see off the last three overs.

WInfield guides McGrath through the covers for two, then nearly chops onto her stumps...the Yorkshire right-hander hasn't looked totally secure tonight.

And we have a rare collector's item here - Anya Shrubsole is padded up in the England dug-out, in case a wicket falls. Should we call her a nightwatchman - or as suggested on TMS, a nightwatchwoman?

It's going to be young leg-spinner Amanda-Jade Wellington to have a go just before the close, as Perry gets the hook after two overs.

And the leggie nearly makes the breakthrough as Beaumont prods forward, the ball pops up and it falls just short of the helmeted Beth Mooney at silly point. TB manages to dab a two off her pads.

Can you see Australia taking 10 wickets to win tomorrow?

It's going to be really difficult. The ball's not moving off the straight - it depends on whether Amanda-Jade Wellington can get any turn. England can just bat and bat. But you wouldn't put anything past Ellyse Perry at the moment.

Beaumont tucks a single to fine leg. TMS reckon we've got five more overs to get through tonight, and it looks like Australia are going back to spin.

It still seems to be easier to bat in this floodlight final session, which goes against everything that we'd been told about day-night cricket!

Lovely shot from Winfield, straight back past the bowler, a good stop in front of the rope by Amanda-Jade Wellington looks to have prevented the four... but a quick check with the TV umpire shows she had touched the rope, and Winfield's into double figures.

Winfield's then hit on the pad, a big shout for lbw from Perry... umpire unmoved and it looked to be slanting down the leg side.

What's pleasing is the way England are going about this innings. They didn't take the positive option in the first innings. But if it's wide they're going to hit it, if it's full they're going to drive it.

Just under 20 minutes of play left today as England's openers help themselves to a single apiece off McGrath.

Daggers isn't a happy boy today. He wanted Brunt and Shrubsole to open for England this morning, and Schutt and Perry for Australia this evening.

Schutt's off and Perry replaces her for the ninth over, but there's no fairytale first over for the 27-year-old as Beaumont guides a four off her legs, while a single takes the Kent right-hander to 20 from 20 balls. Winfield is content to play the supporting role at this stage.
