The Aussies, celebrating there, reckon that's the game in the bag.

Joe Root has fallen!
That's an utterly brilliant delivery from Josh Hazlewood. It's that awkward end, forcing Root to play, and he just pushes at it. The ball takes the bottom edge of the bat and Tim Paine doesn't miss a beat. It was lower than Root was expecting I think, and Root kicks the boundary rope as he walks off the field.
That, you rather feel, is that. Australia certainly think so...

Hannah Marsh: Well that serves us all right... I’m going back to sleep.
James: Right I'm going back to bed then.
Hmm. There's some definite late movement from Mitch Starc as the ball goes through to Tim Paine, and he gets Joe Root to topple over as he tries to nurdle the ball off his pads. An outside edge goes flying through cover but it drops short of the fielder. Root readjusts and gets in behind the next ball, before he digs out a yorker to end the over.

He might have got a nick - Australia were stone-cold certain. Interesting that Root told him to review. Surely Woakes himself would have known?
Steve Smith might have considered giving Nathan Lyon the ball, with a brand new leftie at the crease, but it'l be Mitch Starc to take the second over.

Woakes couldn't bring himself to remove his helmet as left the field, shaking his head as he went. Not happy with that decision.
Moeen's the ideal man for a tense situation. Not a flicker of anxiety on his face. He tries to leave and ends up bottom edging just past his stumps, before leaving and blocking teh rest of the over. A wicket-maiden for Josh Hazlewood first up.

That has got some momentum up for Australia. England have to absorb that difficult start and build a partnership.
Here's Moeen, who would have been fancying putting his feet up for a bit longer. Steve Smith suddenly looks much chirpier than he managed at any stage last night.

Gone!
There's a spike on Snicko as the ball nips past the bat, and that's enough to stick with Aleem Dar's on field decision. It was a fine delivery from Josh Hazlewood, going straight on and just taking the edge of Woakes' forward defensive.
So England lose a wicket off the second ball of the day...
There's not a mark on the bat! There's a noise on Snicko though...

Root is telling him immediately to review it. Woakes doesn't look confident.
It sounded as though Woakes edged behind. There was a definite noise...
Chris Woakes has gone! Second ball of the day!
Aleem Dar waits an age before giving it out, and Woakes reviews...
Solid defence from Chris Woakes, tottering forward and meeting a full Josh Hazlewood delivery with a straight bat.
The Barmy Army have fired up the saxophone.
Joe Root and nightwatchman Chris Woakes have made their way out to the middle. Root, unbeaten on 67, does a few stretches while Woakes, on 5, watches on.
It'll be Josh Hazlewood to open the day's play...

The sun is out, there’s a blue sky. It looks like a good day for batting…
England have to take it ball by ball, take the scoreboard out of the equation and bat for as long as they can.
England all-rounder Moeen Ali, speaking to TMS: "I’m excited for the challenge. We have a great opportunity to win this game that we didn’t think we would get, and that gives you extra drive.
"The gameplan will be to knock the runs off in blocks of five runs. Once you get to under 100 needed, that makes it psychologically tough for the bowlers. But Lyon has been bowling well so it will be tough for us.
"I will go out and play how I play, and adapt my game depending on the situation. I can’t wait to get out there. We’re still behind in this game, but we’ve got a chance, and that’s all you need sometimes."
