I'll say one thing for Mason Crane, he's not fazed when an entire crowd jeers him for pulling up in is run up. There's one or two people shaking their heads at him as he does it once again.

Crane mixes up his lengths, going full before giving a couple of deliveries a bit of air, but Mitch Marsh isn't tempted. He gets forward and plays his way through a maiden.

Watching from a roasting hot Sydney, and with the temperatures expected to hit 40C the next couple of days, what are the rules on playing in heat? Tennis is abandoned at 40, what about cricket?

A half-hearted lbw shout against Shaun Marsh from Stuart Broad, but that was sliding way down leg, and Marsh jogs a bye. The brothers exchange another single in a relatively sedate over, which means Mitch will face Crane once again.

England just have to get Mason Crane bowling to Mitchell Marsh - he goes at the ball hard.

  5. Aus 385-4published at 137 overs

    M Marsh 2, S Marsh 67

A single from the second ball of Mason Crane's over brings Mitch Marsh back on strike, and Crane pulls out of his run up twice to him. Just as well he did for the second one - that was a massive no ball if he carried on going.

He gets a round of applause from the crowd as he lands his next two deliveries, but Mitch Marsh is off the mark as he presses forward, doesn't read the spin and gets enough bat on it to beat slip.

Have England ever gone through a five-match series without taking 20 wickets in a match?

Shaun Marsh goes for a big drive straight away against Stuart Broad, but the outside edge trickles along the ground. Marsh cracks a single away and Mitch, who looks like he'd much prefer to face seam than spin, defends, despite James Vince almost gift wrapping him a single with a mis-field.

Mitch Marsh hasn't picked that - there's turn, the ball sliding across him, and he's lucky to not bobble a catch up to short leg.

A lovely delivery that beats Marsh to end the over. Maiden.

Another tidy over from James Anderson, pushing the ball across Shaun Marsh, and Marsh plays accordingly. He drives the final ball of the over but it's well-controlled.

The ball went to slip - that was the thing.

Excitement over, and Mason Crane rounds off his over while Joe Root chunters to himself at slip.

The England players were misled by the bat hitting the turf just as the ball passed it. It's a good decision by umpire Dharmasena.

That's a very good decision from umpire Dharmasena - not out, and England lose a review.

The bat has hit the floor - there's daylight between bat and ball. That's turned some way, though...

That's just OK on the no-ball.

Has Mason Crane got another one? Joe Root has taken a catch at slip as Mitch Marsh pushes forward, but the umpire says he hasn't hit it.
