Impressive control from Woakes again and they can't get him away for anything other than singles. Finch still two away from his hundred, the run-rate only 5.25.

Australia have wickets in hand but they are going to have to go some if they have 340 in mind. If a couple of wickets fall quickly, you'd fancy they would be in trouble.
Finch collects another boundary from Rashid and then scampers through for a single to keep the bowling, needing three more for another century.

Stu: Following the updates from my NHS night shift. Not everyone can be in Thailand!
Woakes, beginning his run from the edge of the 30-yard circle, limits the scoring to four singles. There is a lighter hearted moment as Marsh feigns to pick the ball up and Woakes makes a mock appeal, a probable reference to the U-19 World Cup. The man given out obstructing the field on that occasion didn't see the funny side I'm sure.

Rashid is back, he takes the sting out of a sweetly struck Marsh drive and restricts them to two. A giant bottle on a jeep signals a drinks break and the Australians will be wondering when to press the accelerator pedal on their own scoring rate.

Brian Peggs: Following from San Jose, with jet lag more cutting than a Shane Warne leg break...
Woakes, whose 10 overs at the MCG went for 65, returns and a bouncer that sails over the batsman is signalled wide by umpire Dharmasena. The fifty partnership arrives, with the run-rate still a relatively modest 5.27.

Finch 85, Marsh 20
Root, round the wicket again to the right-handers, comes in for his seventh over. I saw 93 on the speedgun there but it's in km/h not mph. Once again, he restricts them to singles, a super effort from the Test captain, back in the ranks in the ODI team.

Christian Evans: Mark my words Australia will get above 300 here, I'll go for 308. Well and truly game on.
Finch and Marsh put on 118 for the fourth wicket in the previous match and they scamper through for three more in the heat from the bowling of Wood. The partnership extends to 43 from 44 balls.

Root's sixth over and Finch gives himself room and pummels it off the back foot through the covers. The opener is 19 short of a second successive century.

The swimming pool is unattended - there's not a soul there. I don't know if there's a shark in it...
Spin has played a very useful role for England but Durham paceman Mark Wood returns, looking to pounce from the Vulture Street End. A nice economical run-up, around 10 paces, but his final ball is short and helped to the square-leg boundary with the minimum of fuss by Marsh. The run-rate only at 5.31 so far though.

All manner of headgear in the crowd, some duck-shaped baseball caps and the useful mini umbrella on a headband. Where's the one with the in-built drinks holder?
A rare short one from Root and Marsh rocks on to the back foot to stroke the 13th four of the innings.
