    Moeen 28, Woakes 23

    Oh Chris. You're spoiling us!

He greets leg spinner Zampa with a lovely lofted off-drive over the in-field for four and then a few balls later smacks a slog sweep over mid on for the first six of the innings.

Woakes is in the form of his life, yet to be dismissed in this series. The Brummie Botham as Dan Norcross said earlier.

  2. Eng 76-6published at 26 overs

That's nice as well from Chris Woakes as he just lets a short ball from Josh Hazlewood hit the bat and guides the ball down to third man for a single. There's none of the big swing for Hazlewood that he found earlier.

  3. Eng 75-6published at 25.3 overs

The shot of the day so far! Beautiful from Chris Woakes as he drives Hazlewood through the covers for four. Get him in as an opener in Perth.

    Thanks Jack. All your fault.

I must say I did not expect to be taking over with a score like this. England were 8-5 earlier on by the way if you're just waking up.

Josh Hazlewood is coming back into the attack after his six over spell with three wickets for just 11 runs earlier.

  5. Eng 71-6published at 25 overs

    Moeen 28, Woakes 5

Zampa will continue for now, though. Woakes dabs into off for one before Moeen works it out to deep square for another.

The leggie drops short off the last and Woakes cuts away for one.

That's the halfway mark and my cue to hand you over to Matt Henry to see what England can possibly muster from here.

What a bonkers match so far. Catch you later, if it's still going on.

  6. Eng 68-6published at 24 overs

Decent stuff from Moeen and Woakes to repel Cummins, the former getting on top to pull a short ball away for one.

This England pair nudge and nurdle four singles off the over. Josh Hazlewood looks to be warming up...

  7. Eng 64-6published at 23 overs

A nondescript over from Zampa, three singles from it.

Steve Smith decides against recalling his other strike bowler Josh Hazlewood, instead continuing with leg-spinner Adam Zampa. Curious.

  10. Eng 61-6published at 22 overs

Cummins probes away but Woakes is watchful early on, defending and leaving his first three balls.

A wicket maiden for Cummins, who has been superb today.

Here comes Chris Woakes at number eight. He's batted like a number four during this series and needs to do so again here...

Morgan had just started to find his feet but his weakness is the short ball and that ball was a little too quick.

    Morgan c Paine b Cummins 33 (Eng 61-6)

Sickener. It's a short ball down leg side from Cummins but Morgan misjudges the pull stroke and gloves it behind to Tim Paine.

That would've been called wide had Morgan left it but once he goes for it, the pace does for him.

It had been a fine rebuilding effort from the captain so far but he'll be livid with himself for not going on.

Leg-spinner Adam Zampa is on. Eoin Morgan moves away and tries to give himself room but can only slice it through backward point for one.

Five balls, five singles as this pair rotate the strike nicely against the spinner.

    A dot ball to finish.

Matt Roberts: I’ve given Mo some stick on this tour. Most of it deserved. I’d still like nothing better than for him to pull out a big innings here. Come on Mo.

  18. Eng 56-5published at 20 overs

    Morgan 30, Moeen 21

Cummins can't find the movement he did to devastating affect early on as Moeen guides through third man for one before Morgan swivels the last ball away for a single.

Pat Cummins is back into the attack. That's a better move from Smith. Here we go...
