I thought that was clipping leg. It's a very good review from Bairstow. I'm not sure they have quite got right the amount of time a review takes.

Oh hello! Ball tracking show it was missing down leg!

That's a surprise, it looked to be umpire's call at worst.

Jonny Bairstow looks surprised too, don't think he reviewed that with too much confidence.

But the Yorkshireman survives as Australia trudge back to their marks.

Ball tracking is ready, the spike as it passes the gloves still not clear.

They're looking if Bairstow got a slight touch on the ball with his glove. Very, very tight.

I think Jonny Bairstow is in trouble here.

  6. England reviewpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 19 June 2018

Just after a couple of boundaries in quick succession, it looks like Jonny Bairstow is gone!

The England opener tries to sweep Ashton Agar round the corner, misses and the ball raps his pads.

Big appeal and given. Bairstow sends it upstairs...

Hmm, a worrying sign for England and Jason Roy?

The opening batsman is getting some physio treatment on his right hand.

He's been grimacing after defending balls high on the bat, with the reverberations going through his bottom hand.

A few more grimaces now but Roy looks OK to continue, which is not great news for Australia.

Well he's just hit an even bigger one than this, but here is Jason Roy's first six of the day...

If you err at all on this pitch, you are punished to the max. Who'd be a bowler?

    Jason Roy is on one.

Jhye Richardson strays wide outside off and Roy slices a square drive to the fence.

If you know Trent Bridge, the ugly tower block in the corner of the ground, it hit that about three floors up. Jason Roy is in good nick.

Shot of the day! Well, certainly in a classical sense. Jhye Richardson over-pitches and Jason Roy creams a perfect cover drive for four.

Actually, this might be shot of the day.

Roy whacks a hook shot deep into the stands. That's huge - in fact, it looks like it's out of the ground.

    New ball needed!

  13. Vince reminds England what they're missingpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 19 June 2018

For those who missed it yesterday, James Vince scored a majestic 171 to lead Hampshire into the One-Day Cup final. Want to see his best bits? Here you go...

    Roy 22, Bairstow 19

Will these two target the slow left-armer?

In answer, Jason Roy tries to flay the second ball down the ground but can only get an inside edge. He has to defend the third and fourth as Ashton Agar finds a good length.

That's 12 dot balls in a row for Australia, but Roy ensures it's not 13 as he skips down the pitch to tap to square leg and pick up two.

He ends the over by scurrying a quick single to mid-on. The throw in hits Bairstow and runs away but England refuse to run the accidental overthrows.

Ashton Agar is coming into the attack...

Fenners: Wood is hugely overrated and doesn't deserve a place in the team. Much slower than when he first played in the Ashes and there are far better options out there. Doesn't have the surprise factor any more.

Jhye Richardson gets one off the inside edge of Jonny Bairstow but the ball deflects away from the stumps.

Good work again from Richardson as he bangs down his fifth straight dot ball with a bouncer.

And again! Bairstow has to duck under a well-directed bumper. That's a maiden for Richardson and a much-needed one for Australia.

It might be interesting to see deliveries like that from Billy Stanlake at The Gabba or The Waca.
