Better. A slowie to finish. Still 16 from the over, mind. India right on course.

Rohit Sharma is licking his lips. He looks in brilliant touch.

Hooked this time! Chris Jordan is serving up a buffet of half-volleys and half-trackers here.

  4. 6 runs

    Ind 37-1published at 3.4 overs

Sixer! Rohit stands still and his Chris Jordan towards the flats at the Ashley Down Road End. Careful on the balconies. They probably need to change the ball after that. I hope they kept the receipt for this batch of balls. They aren't very resilient.

India have successfully completed 23 of their past 29 chases in T20 internationals.

  6. Ind 31-1published at 3.3 overs

I'm not sure that England ever got around to ordering sun hats that match their orange T20 kit. David Willey has to wear a blue sunhat. Everyone else has caps that blend in.

Don't give Rohit Sharma width on this pitch.

Stoney: Ah, I get it now, Jake Ball is in the team for his fielding.

  11. Ind 27-1published at 3 overs

    Target 199

No slips for KL Rahul, who is wearing a rather natty pair of blue batting gloves. Chris Jordan gets loose, David Willey's hair bounces up and down. The mushroom style makes him look a bit like Mike Flowers.

That is an ominous start for England from KL Rahul...

Has KL Rahul come straight from the nets? First ball, straight drive for four.

Leaping like a salmon to his left, he plucked it about a foot off the ground. Jake Ball is a lot better than people think in the field.

    Dhawan c Ball b Willey 5 (Ind 21-1)

That is brilliant! Whadda catch by Jake Ball! It's a nothing delivery from David Willey, Shikhar Dhawan clipping it off his pads. Ball, at short fine leg, dives to his left and takes the ball low to the ground, in two hands almost after it had gone past him. Fast bowlers aren't supposed to do that.

  17. Ind 21-0published at 2 overs

In the T20 Blast, Yorkshire's Matt Fisher has just gone for 33 in the first over of Birmingham Bears' innings. The Bears were only chasing 158 to win. That's a fifth of the runs in one over. Ed Pollock hit three sixes.
