This is going to be England's biggest challenge. With the weather we're having, these pitches couldn't suit India more. They are going to spin - even in the Test matches, they will turn a little bit.

England captain Eoin Morgan: "All credit to India, they completely outplayed us today. Kuldeep Yadav had a pretty good day at the office. Today we were off the mark.

"He extracted more turn out of this pitch than any other spinner. Practising and coming up against guys like that is rare. Our playing against spin will have to improve.

"Between now and the World Cup we need to expose our areas of weakness. This seems to be one of it because it's so rare we come up against two wrist spinners. It's great opportunity to test ourselves."

India captain Virat Kohli: "It was as clinical as it can be. Our wrist spinners know they have the skill to make an impact. Kuldeep was outstanding. I don't think I've seen a better ODI spell in a while.

"We want Kuldeep confident because we know he can be a match winner. These two guys, since they've come in the team, they've been the difference for us. They're making the impact in the middle overs.

"There might be a few surprises in there [the Test team]. Kuldeep is making a strong case for himself. Looking at the English batsmen struggling against them, we might be tempted to do that."

But Rohit remained unbeaten on 137 as India took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series by recording an eight-wicket win with 9.5 overs to spare.

There was only one disappointment for the India supporters as Kohli was unable to make a century, the captain smartly stumped by Buttler from a fine Rashid delivery for 75.

Rohit raced to his 18th ODI century, reaching three figures from only 82 balls in style with a majestic six.

Shikhar Dhawan was the first India wicket to fall, caught for 40 off Moeen in the eighth over.

India made short work of their 269 target, Rohit Sharma quickly finding his customary form to delight the huge Indian contingent in the crowd.

One of the few bad balls Kuldeep bowled still managed to claim a wicket and the 23-year-old finished with 6-25 from 10 overs, the fourth-best ODI figures by an India bowler.

Jos Buttler top-scored for England with 53 from 51 balls, featuring five sweetly-struck boundaries such as this one.

Joe Root was left out of the deciding T20 but was restored to the team at number three today. However, the Test captain made only three before being deceived by Kuldeep, the first of two wickets in the India spinner's second over, Bairstow soon following for 38 after a review.

But the match turned with the introduction of left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the 11th over. He struck with his second delivery and Jason Roy will not want to see his dismissal again. Here it is for the rest of us though.
