    Rohit 42, Kohli 21

Oh, it's all going so well for Adil Rashid, right up until the last delivery that Rohit Sharma absolutely wallops to the boundary.

There's a bit of spin for Rashid but Sharma, down on one knee, cracks the ball over square leg for four.

It's such a good wicket to bat on, no movement in the air, nothing off the surface.

  3. Ind 98-1published at 14 overs

This is so easy for India. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli can just lean back and tickle the singles here and there.

They need 171 to win. Bags of time to get there, too.

    Andy Zaltzman
    BBC Test Match Special statistician

Virat Kohli has 35 ODI centuries - 21 of those 35 have been when India have been chasing. He averages 68 batting second.

  5. Ind 93-1published at 13 overs

    Kohli 17, Rohit 35

Virat Kohli works a single from Adil Rashid's first ball but Rohit Sharma gets a little tucked up, trying to dab the ball this way and that before eventually working one.

Ooft. That's four! A furious cut from Kohli, taking something short and wide from Rashid and thrashing it behind point.

Some more spin for England, this time in the form of Adil Rashid.

  7. Watch: Dhawan caught by Rashidpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 12 July 2018

Here's how the sole India wicket fell - not the greatest shot from Shikhar Dhawan...

  8. Ind 87-1published at 12 overs

Need 182 runs from 38 overs

Down the pitch comes Virat Kohli, aiming a huge swish at Liam Plunkett's latest delivery, but he can only toe end the ball toward the fielder on the off side.

Kohli digs a delivery off his toes to end a quiet over from Plunkett.

Sharma has power and elegance combined and it's a deadly combination.

  10. Ind 83-1published at 11 overs

Time for some Ben Stokes. He struggled for rhythm with the bat - but can he rediscover his magic with the ball? Bowling to Virat Kohli, he's dismissed the India captain three times in just 30-odd balls in ODI cricket. Eoin Morgan is obviously all over these type of stats.

Rohit Sharma is in majestic touch at the moment - crashing another four through the off side. England need wickets or they'll be back home before the floodlights take effect.

Francis Edwards: Struggling to see why Wood is continuously picked. He’s not that quick, he can barely hit 90mph on a good day. He rarely takes early wickets and his average in ODI and tests is really bad! Why isn’t Curran or someone else playing?

  12. Ind 74-1published at 10 overs

That's better from Liam Plunkett, keeping Virat Kohli on the defensive, before Kohli eventually thrashes the ball through Ben Stokes at gully.

Rohit Sharma flashes an expansive drive but it's well stopped by the man at cover, and India will just take two from the over.

Moeen Ali is going to take a little rest. Here's Liam Plunkett.

With Wood bowling at 90mph the ball does go off the bat a little quicker as well, there is very little margin for error, the white ball doesn't move as much.

  15. Ind 72-1published at 9 overs

    Rohit 26, Kohli 5

Oh, the timing on that from Rohit Sharma! It's short from Mark Wood and it's easy for Sharma to lean back and drive the ball through point for four.

And again! Great shot but that's not good from Wood, offering up the same delivery and seeing it get the same treatment.

  16. Ind 64-1published at 8.3 overs

Shikhar Dhawan looks a bit sheepish up on the India balcony.

Not that it matters to Virat Kohli. He's off the mark with a boundary, an elegant drive going flying through the covers, soundtracked by a huge cheer from the crowd.

Is there another cricketer that can make a crowd go bonkers just by walking to the middle? The reception for Kohli was incredible. Like Beatlemania. He hasn't done anything yet. Imagine if he gets a ton.

  18. Ind 59-1published at 8 overs

    Target 269

Rohit Sharma plays out the last ball of the over while skipper Virat Kohli leans on his bat at the other end.

There was not much spin on that ball, it might have bounced a little bit but Dhawan's head was looking to where he was trying to hit the ball. He took his eye off it, very unlike a top quality batsman. It was a real hack in the end.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.5 overs

    Dhawan c Rashid b Moeen 40 (Ind 59-1)

    Whoops!

Shikhar Dhawan has gone for one shot too many. He's trying to blast Moeen Ali's latest delivery back over his head for six but there's a bit of extra flight from Moeen. Dhawan is wrong-footed, thrashing his arms at the ball, and a thick outside edge spoons up towards Adil Rashid at backward point.
