So England will have just short of 200 overs to bat if they are to save this Test. First they have to make it until 18:30 tonight and then bat until Wednesday evening.
200 overs. 521 to win. That's 2.6 runs per over...

Bairstow is likely to bat but they are not sure where in the order. He is keen to still get out there.
Adil Rashid finishes as England's most successful bowler - although he did concede 101 runs for his three wickets.

There will be nine overs and it will be tricky for the batsmen, 521, well they have got enough time to do it! It's less than three an over!
Well that was pointless. Why did India make Ashwin go out!? Kohli brings his men in at the end of the over. They finish on 352-7 declared.
England will have nine overs to bat tonight. Cook and Jennings run off. Their stomachs must be churning a little.
Lead by 520
Ashwin gets off the mark to bring up Rashid's century. Kohli is on his feet. If he declares now then Ashwin should run up and kick him in the shins.

I think that's about Alastair Cook's 167th catch for England but I bet it's his first at deep mid-wicket. He took it rather well actually.
Shami c Cook b Rashid 3 (Ind 349-7)
Shami tries to copy his batting partner but fails. He doesn't get enough on his heave and Alastair Cook takes a catch in the deep.
The cameras pan to Kohli. There's no signal. On we go.

There's a long off and a long on but there is a gap between them and Pandya knew it.
Joe Root may have a ring of fielders on the boundary but there is no one straight behind the umpire. He clubs the ball down there for four.
He's now reached his half-century, having taken five wickets with the ball.
Lead by 512
We're at that point where the camera are focussing on Virat Kohli after almost every ball. There's less than an hour left tonight but still the declaration hasn't come.
Joe Root has his fielders spread all over Trent Bridge. They'd need a megephone to talk to each other.
Now then. The declaration may be imminent. The Indian bowling coach is looking through the fourth umpire's selection of cricket balls.

FunDisney: Charles Glover says a Kohli is “ruthless”. He is. He’s got that aggressive irritation to his personality like David Warner, but with more talent. Root can’t learn from that, he’s basically a nice young man.
Lead by 507
Brutal from Hardik Pandya. He smashes Rashid into the stands and that does take the lead over 500.
He goes again...
This time it's squirted away off the edge and Anderson has to sprint down to third man and prevent a boundary.
Still no declaration.

Rashid now has six wickets in the series, the most by a England leg spinner in a home series since 1967.
Mohammed Shami comes out at number eight for India, rather than Ravichandran Ashwin.
Sunil Gavaskar
Former India captain on BBC Test Match Special
He came down the pitch looking to play the big shot but the ball was a bit flatter but he wasn't able to get on top of it and lost his off stump.
Rahane b Rashid 29 (Ind 329-6)
Adil Rashid bowls Ajiknya Rahane but there's no sign of movement on the India balcony. They're batting on.

Hardik Pandya has the gift of timing and the gift of power as well.
