Virat Kohli has been given out! It's not Jimmy Anderson but Chris Woakes who has trapped him in front.
It looked very out but Kohli is going to review just in case.
England - set 521 for improbable win - survive nine overs on third evening
Kohli's 103 sets up India's 352-7 dec
Pujara - dropped on 40 - makes 72
Bairstow has fractured finger but should bat
First innings: India 329, England 161

Virat Kohli has converted nine of his last 13 scores of fifty into a hundred and just the second Indian to be dismissed in the 90's in the first innings and then make a hundred in the second.

Virat Kohli has scored twice as many runs as any other player in this series. He's averaging 88. Not bad.
It's cool at Trent Bridge and overcast. The floodlights are on. These are nothing like the conditions he grew up with in Delhi. He still manages to pile on the runs.

Gilad: England’s slip fielding has been shambolic! Embarrassing!

That is Kohli's 23rd Test hundred, his fifth against England and his second of the series. We could see him tee off now...

He is a wonder player, the question marks about could he bat in English conditions, no question in my mind, he is the best batsman in the world across all three formats, he is an unbelievable player. On this tour he has left well and made the bowlers bowl to him. It looks to me as though he has been working on this for some time and come with a clear plan.
He just loves scoring runs! Virat Kohli gets another edge through third man for four. He takes off his helmet, kisses his bat and blow a kiss towards the stands. His wife stands and applauds. The rest of Trent Bridge does too.

That dropped catch brought up the fifty partnership, all four have gone over fifty in this innings.
That drop and a single means Kohli is now on 98...

It's gone through him and it's fortunate it's not hit him in the nether regions. You've got to take those.
The battle between Kohli and Anderson has been brilliant in this series so far. They should make every spell into a box set.
How Anderson hasn't got the Indian captain at least once I do not know.
Not again!?!
Edged from Kohli and it goes through Keaton Jennings at third slip! Straight through his legs at a catchable height. Anderson can't believe it. He bends over and puts his head in his hands.
Jennings didn't get his hands on it.

You hear people saying India should run Anderson and Broad into the ground, but there's too much of a break between Tests for that to be an issue. It comes down to what Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings would prefer, and that would be a good night's sleep before they bat again.
Kohli 93, Rahane 17
A chap in the crowd is holding up a sign saying he has come from India to see Virat Kohli score a Test century. He might not have long to wait. Kohli is on the brink of his second ton of the series and second in England. Remember when there were doubts if he could play on these shores?
Rahane blocks out a maiden so Kohli will be on strike to Jimmy Anderson.

Big fan of Ian Bell, but he averaged 35 and 26 in the last two years of his Test career. Look to the future!

Chris Woakes is going to be the man for England after tea. He'll be bowling for the first time with this new ball.
Hello again. I don't want to develop a reputation as an Ian Bell basher. I just don't think he should be picked!
Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane are perched on top of the advertising boards like some pesky youths waiting for the umpires to come down the steps.
McFly drummer Harry Judd is the guest on the TV. He played in the TMS-Tailenders match that you can still watch on the iPlayer. I'll just sneak that pro-Bell one in before handing back to Matthew Henry for the evening session

Really don't have a problem with recalling Bell short term, maybe even over the winter. It's not like we've got an Ashes series away coming up, but he's got the technique and temperament, would take some pressure off Root, and could help players like Pope come through.

Just that one wicket in the session then - and after 14 dropped catches in the series, England held on to one as Cook snaffled Pujara at slip for 72.

With stroke-players to come India are beautifully set-up.
