Neil Peter: I am sorry but that was tailender stuff from Jennings.

It was almost as if he had lost sight of it.

It hit his back thigh, playing no stroke. That is as bizarre a dismissal as I have seen for a long time.
Jennings lbw Bumrah 0 (Eng 1-1)
A truly bizarre dismissal.
It's a tremendous piece of swing bowling by Jasprit Bumrah, getting the new ball to absolutely hoop back in to the left-hander from over the wicket.
Keaton Jennings won't want to see that again though - the England opener went to leave it going across him but realised too late it was swinging back in and is trapped plumb lbw offering no shot.
A miserable series continues for Jennings.

P Louey: All these doom and gloom merchants. England to be 85-0 at lunch. Fact.
Ishant Sharma goes a little straighter and Alastair Cook defends resolutely on off stump.
A maiden for Sharma to start.
Ishant Sharma to come round the wicket and move it away from England's opening left-handers, as he has done to great success all series.
It takes him only two balls to produce a jaffa, luring Alastair Cook into a prod before the ball shapes just past the outside edge.

England have an opportunity here. Put a score on the board, put the flag in the ground and say "Right, you come and chase this."

Looks a cracking deck so England will inevitably be four down by lunch.
Slev in London
A new high bid. Anyone for five down by lunch?
Jasprit Bumrah zips one past the outside edge of Keaton Jennings' bat.
Zero footwork from the England opener.
He leaves the last one well alone.
Bumrah strays down leg and Cook duly flicks it away to fine leg for a single to get off the mark.
Hardik Pandya strikes a cool pose until a wasp comes his way and the all-rounder starts flapping at it like a nervous family member at a picnic.
Jasprit Bumrah goes over the wicket and angles it across Alastair Cook with a bit of nibble.
It's accurate as well and Cook plays and misses at it.
A fine start by the India seamer.

Dave Roche: Anyone else expecting England to be 30 for 3 around 12pm?
I spoke too soon.
Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings have made their way out to the middle as India take up their fielding positions.
It'll be the former captain to face first. Jasprit Bumrah to bowl.

Dwerrendelf: Cook and Jennings both out for under 30. England 50 odd for two at some point before lunch. Such is the way.
A very slight improvement on the usual "three down by lunch" predictions.

The quality of the bowling on both sides has made opening the batting a bit of a lottery. I have sympathy with Cook because he has had some incredibly good balls to deal with. Jennings is still that rather static, wooden character at the crease. He has looked a little bit stiff and you need that flexibility. He looks vulnerable outside the off-stump.

Peter Coles: I see that England have won the toss and have elected to collapse first.
BBC Weather's Simon King: "It has been a bit fresh, temperatures about 15, but it's looking mostly dry, there will perhaps be a bit more cloud this afternoon. Friday is going to be similar, a degree or two higher perhaps. It's Meteorological Autumn starting on Saturday but there will be more sunshine."
