And some "best bits" from the England innings:

More from England coach Mark Robinson: "Katherine Brunt's a champion, longevity's everything for her, we've got to keep looking at her workloads but she's doing personal bests in all the fitness tests. We've just got to manage her.

"Nat Sciver's hitting the ball really well, she's practising as well as anyone, she's just not been able to convert and has got a couple of low scores. She's a fine, fine player and can't fail because she's a three-in-one cricketer, she bowls well and she's excellent in the field."

England coach Mark Robinson on Sky Sports:"We seem to be good at setbacks, we're not perfect but we don't take blows as mortal blows, we're a team with character. Tammy was awesome at Hove, she had to scratch early on today but that's how she's matured. Contrasting hundreds, but maybe today's was better because it showed more of her character. We haven't played much T20 as a country, she's still learning there but hopefully she can keep getting better."

Has Sarah Taylor benefited from resting from the India series?

"We always had it in mind to give Sarah that break - her health's the most important thing. She was anxious going into that second game at Hove after the defeat at Worcester but she got the hundred there and she's been world class with the gloves."

  6. Looking ahead to the T20 tri-series...published at 21:08 British Summer Time 15 June 2018

More from Dane van Niekerk: "Some of the batters are striking the ball well, there's been positives withe bowling - we enjoy T20 cricket and the way Lizelle Lee and Chloe Tryon are striking the ball shows we enjoy it."

More from Heather Knight: "It's our last series before the World T20, so it's about getting our team right and it's going to be a big challenge against some of the world's top players."

It's going to be a really interesting summer with New Zealand coming next - with Amelia Kerr, Amy Satterthwaite, Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates, who's probably the best player in the world right now.

  8. Captain''s viewpublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 15 June 2018

England captain Heather Knight on Sky Sports: "To come back with two really strong performances is very pleasing. We trained brilliantly, moved on quickly from Worcester and put right what went wrong with the batting that day.

"The bowlers have been outstanding all series, particularly Anya and Katherine, our yin and yang as we call them, and Sophie Ecclestone was brilliant as well, supported by Laura Marsh. Back-to-back hundreds doesn't happen to often, so it's brilliant for Tammy."

I've just been watching England and you've got people down there like Jenny Gunn, Alex Hartley and Katie George who will be disappointed not to be in the team today, but they seem really, really happy for the team.

  10. Captain's viewpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 15 June 2018

South Africa captain Dane van Niekerk on Sky Sports: "It's not about personal performances, I probably should have scored a few more considering all the lives I got. England bowled to their fields really well and made it difficult for us to score, but the class of Tammy and Heather made us pay. They played the spinners really well, that's why I brought on the pacers, but you can't defend both sides of the wicket to different lengths. We were on a high after the first game but you can't be complacent against a side like England."

England players get their medals. Tammy Beaumont now has three around her neck - "I can't stop them clanging", she tells the chap making the presentations.

Any more awards today, and she'll have more metal clanging around her neck than Mr T. But I pity the fool who would fancy bowling to Tammy in this form...

  13. Player of the match (and series)published at 20:58 British Summer Time 15 June 2018

Player of the match (and series) Tammy Beaumont on Sky Sports: "The most important things today was to back the bowlers up and get the win here at the home of cricket. Playing on the outfield here as a 10-year-old, it was great to get a century.

"We were under pressure when Heather came in but she's brilliant at chasng and kept me calm. We had a bad day at Worcester and it was important for us to show what we can do. If the bowlers kept the stumps in play today, there was always something going on."

The wheels came off for South Africa, and unfortunately for me the wheels are running away down the road. Too many extras were given away. They can take positives from this series, but it just remains to be seen when they can take that next step. They may have misread the conditions slightly at Hove.

Mark Robinson has incredibly high standards for this side - and if you see the congratulations at the end, a lot of credit has to go to him.

Lizelle Lee was unlucky today - she was given out lbw when it may have been missing leg stump - but South Africa needed her to get a big score.
