  1. Yorks 189-6published at 43 overs

    Fisher 1, Bresnan 7

Perfect scenario for Matt Coles to come into, and he took full advantage with a maiden over.

Matthew Fisher was prodding and nudging at balls nervously, while Tim Bresnan, a relative veteran of the Essex bombardment, was unable to add to his tally.

It'll be a nervy last seven overs for the Yorkshire side.

  2. Yorks 189-6published at 42 overs

    Fisher 1, Bresnan 7

Potentially pivotal over from Essex, as Simon Harmer bowls with economy and menace, picking up the wicket of Jack Leaning and bringing to the crease another player in Matthew Fisher yet to have set in.

You sense that Essex smell blood, they might just go for it now.

    Kent 224-1 (target 256)published at 33 overs

    22 runs off the over

Joe Denly decides he's had enough of this dot ball malarkey and launches Matt Carter high over deep mid-wicket for a huge six. It took a while to get the ball back following that blow!

When it returns the Kent batsman finds the offside fence before launching two more massive sixes over long-on.

Suddenly the finishing line is in sight for Kent.

    Leaning lbw b Harmer 57 (Yorks 188-6)

SImon Harmer gets some joy, tying up Jack Leaning who can't get his bat on it and couldn't move those feet and could only watch as the ball rattled into his shins.

He goes. That's both stalwarts of the Yorkshire batting resistance gone... have their hopes gone with it?

  5. Kent 202-1published at 32 overs

A tight Samit Patel over yields just one silver. Suddenly the Notts spinners are putting a string of dot balls together, but it's come too late.

  6. Yorks 185-5published at 41 overs

    Leaning 56, Bresnan 5

Neil Wagner coming around the wicket and concedes eight runs at the expense of Jack Leaning and Tim Bresnan.

Both batsman managed to chop shots out into the offside for a couple of runs.

You sense Essex need one more wicket to unpick the thread in this Yorkshire batting order... who will pick up the slogging baton for Yorkshire? Bresnan or Leaning?

  7. Kent 201-1published at 31 overs

    Kuhn 117, Denly 3

That's the 200 up for Kent as Heino Kuhn steers the final ball of Matt Carter's over down to third man for a couple.

  8. Kent 197-1published at 30 overs

Kent require 59 more runs to win

Just two singles from that Samit Patel over. But there is no pressure on the Kent batsmen to score.

They are well ahead of the game.

  9. Kent 195-1 (target 256)published at 29 overs

    Kuhn 113, Denly 1

Joe Denly, who came into the game as Kent's leading runscorer in this season's One-Day Cup, is the new man and takes a single off the final ball of the over to get off the mark.

  10. Yorks 177-5published at 40 overs

    Leaning 52, Bresnan 1

After shipping eight runs last time out, Ravi Bopara returns to his usual economy with a tight over to frustrate the Yorkshire batters.

Three runs, including the first for Tim Bresnan, the reward.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 28.3 overs

    Bell-Drummond st Moores b Carter 79 (Kent 194-1)

Two balls later Daniel Bell-Drummond comes down the track, is beaten in the flight by Matt Carter and Tom Moores whips off the bails.

Nottinghamshire have a wicket, but surely far, far too late.

  12. 6 runs

    for Bell-Drummondpublished at 28.1 overs

    Kent 194-0 (Target 256)

Take that! Daniel Bell-Drummond whacks Matt Carter over his head and into the Trent Bridge pavilion. That's a big, big six.

  13. Yorks 174-5published at 39 overs

    Leaning 50, Bresnan 0

Tim Bresnan comes in to join Jack Leaning at the crease in a bittersweet over for the Yorkshire side.

Leaning cracked three runs to pick up his half century but then a couple of balls later it was Gary Ballance heading back to the pavilion.

Interesting time now for Yorkshire. Do they go aggressive or keep it ticking over?

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 38.4 overs

    Ballance c Wheater b Wagner 91 (Yorks 174-5)

Ah, so close to the ton for Gary Ballance, but he's been snared.

Caught behind by Adam Wheater, and Neil Wagner has a big scalp.

  15. Kent 184-0 (target 256)published at 28 overs

    Kuhn 113, Bell-Drummond 69

Another Samit Patel over, and seven more runs. Kent are racing along towards their target and a trip to New Road to face Worcestershire on Sunday.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Leaningpublished at 38.1 overs

    Yorks 174-4

Nice moment for Jack Leaning, who along with Gary Ballance has really given Yorkshire a platform.

Some smart running brought up the 50, from a Neil Wagner delivery.

  17. Kent 177-0published at 27 overs

    Kuhn 108, Bell-Drummond 66

Harry Gurney races in from the pavilion end... and the ball races to the fence off the middle of Heino Kuhn's bat.

A leg-side wide follows before Kuhn steals another single and Daniel Bell-Drummond creams a boundary through mid-wicket off his legs.

Gurney's four overs have cost 40. Not the left-armer's day.

  18. 6 runs

    Yorks 171-4published at 38 overs

    Ballance 91. Leaning 47

Having been tight as a drum so far, Yorkshire and Gary Ballance finally get the measure of Ravi Bopara.

Ballance scoops the first delivery behind the wicket for a six and then heaves a big one over the fence to get his second maximum.

The crowd did a good job of getting the ball back! Chastening for Ravi.
