  1. Notts 11-1published at 5 overs

    Wessels 6, Moores 3

Matt Henry beats Tom Moores with a beauty before the Notts wicketkeeper squeezes a single to get off strike.

A glorious drive from Riki Wessels flies straight to cover for nothing, before he ends the over with a single to third man.

It's been a slow start for Notts against some impressive Kent bowling.

  2. Notts 9-1published at 4 overs

    Wessels 5, Moores 2

Harry Podmore raps Tom Moores on the pad and is convinced he has his man.

But the umpire says no and the Notts batsmen scamper a leg bye.

Podmore finishes the over with a cracker that squeezes past the outside edge of Riki Wessels' bat. Well bowled young man.

  3. Notts 8-1published at 3 overs

    Wessels 5, Moores 2

Tom Moores turns the first ball of the over down to fine leg again for another single.

The wind plays a bit of havoc as the bails blow off and disrupts Matt Henry's run-up.

But once the gusts die down, Riki Wessels clips one off his toes through mid-wicket for two before surviving a half-hearted appeal for LBW from one that appeared to be slipping down the leg side.

  5. Notts 5-1published at 2 overs

    Wessels 3, Moores 1

Decent first over by Harry Podmore, especially with taking that wicket.

One wide and a single to fine leg by Tom Moores off the final ball sees the wicketkeeper keep the strike.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.2 overs

    Nash c Billings b Pomore 0 (Notts 3-1)

Riki Wessels steers Harry Podmore's first ball to the point boundary for three to get Nottinghamshire under way.

But the 23-year-old is celebrating the very next ball as Chris Nash edges through to Sam Billings off the bottom of his bat as he shaped to force through the offside.

It was a good diving catch by Billings as the ball was dying on him.

Tom Moores is the new man for Notts.

  7. Notts 0-0published at 1 over

New Zealand's Matt Henry has the ball in his hand and twice beats Chris Nash with deliveries that bounce a little and move away from the right-hander. A maiden to start for Kent.

BBC Radio Nottingham's Dave Bracegirdle took a look at the 22 yards the players will be using at Trent Bridge today. What do you reckon? Looks pretty decent to me. I'm expecting runs aplenty.

Defending champions Nottinghamshire recovered from an up and down start to their campaign to book their place in the knock-out stages once again.

Steven Mullaney's side only won two of their opening five games but three successive wins, including a final-day thrashing of Derbyshire, saw them finish the North Group in second place.

Kent qualified with a game to spare thanks to five wins from their first seven fixtures and more than 400 runs apiece from Joe Denly and Heino Kuhn.

But defeat by Essex in their final South Group game saw them finish third, and result in today's trip to Trent Bridge.
