Warwickshire are fighting back against Kent at Tunbridge Wells, where Keith Barker has prized out Daniel Bell-Drummond (caught behind) for 16 and pinned the prolific Heino Kuhn lbw for eight. Kent lead by 122 runs on 50-2.

Glamorgan have recovered well to 235-8 against Derbyshire at Swansea after losing their first five wickets for just 52 on day one.

The run feast continues for Sussex at Arundel against Durham where the home side are on 507-8. Michael Burgess is the fifth player to pass 50, reaching the milestone off just 53 balls.

    Pope lbw b Groenewald 117 (Surrey 411-7 v Somerset)

Ollie Pope's superb innings is ended.

Seamer Tim Groenewald gets the 20-year-old lbw, but not before he's put Surrey in a commanding position.

Pope's average for the season drops to a mere 83.57 with that dismissal.

    Essex v Notts 345-8

I think it's fair to say Essex's left-arm paceman Neil Wagner isn't bowling too many full balls to Luke Fletcher.

The big man has faced 41 balls for his eight not out.

    Worcestershire 247 v Lancashire 118-8

How close can Lancashire get to Worcestershire's 247 then? They're still 129 behind, but Joe Mennie and Tom Bailey both know which end of the bat to hold.

Ed Barnard and Steve Magoffin are still steaming in for Worcestershire.

Middlesex still need two wickets to end Leicestershire's first innings at Grace Road. The home side are on 374-8 with Colin Ackermann on 158.

Glamorgan have reached 218-8 against Derbyshire at Swansea, a recovery after slumping to 110-6 in muggy conditions on day one. Prem Sisodiya was the last man out, bowled Palladino for a handy 38.

Sussex have reached 473-7 against Durham at Arundel. Chris Rushworth took two wickets in two balls to dismiss Ben Brown (52) and David Wiese (0), but Michael Burgess is still there on 52.

Warwickshire have a crucial early breakthrough at Tunbridge Wells, where Kent are 37-1 leading by 109. Daniel Bell-Drummond is the man out, caught behind off Keith Barker for 16.

  12. Vilas & Clark looked unhappypublished at 11:30 British Summer Time 21 June 2018

    Worcestershire 247 v Lancashire 105-7

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at New Road

It’s safe to say that no batsman in the world ever looks happy being given out lbw.

But Dane Vilas and Jordan Clark sure looked unhappier than most.

The ball that accounted for Vilas looked to be comfortably clearing the top of the stumps. And Clark was out shaping to glance a ball going down leg side.

No complaints from the home supporters though.

Here's the state of play so far this morning...

Durham are fighting back against at Arundel, where Sussex already have a mammoth 451-7. Chris Rushworth has dislodged Ben Brown, having him caught behind for a breezy 52 off 55 balls and pinned David Wiese lbw first ball.

Glamorgan are battling hard for batting points against Derbyshire at Swansea. Resuming on 175-7, they are now on 189-7. Tony Palladino took four wickets yesterday and needs three more wickets for a career tally of 400.

Kent are building their lead over Warwickshire in a low-scoring game at Tunbridge Wells. The home side are 24-0 in their second innings, leading by 95 runs.

Leicestershire had the better of day one against Middlesex at Grace Road. The home side are 368-8 with Colin Ackermann contributing 155 so far.

Northamptonshire v Gloucestershire at Northampton is our day-night match in this division and resumes at 13:30 BST (weather permitting) with the visitors on 25-1, trailing by 257.

That's 14 fours in this innings now, impressive stuff from the youngster.
