    Where's that come from?

Essex have been on top for the last hour, but Billy Root breaks the shackles by skipping down the wicket and biffing Simon Harmer for six over long off.

Notts' lead is approaching 300 - they're still favourites to win this, despite the fightback from the county champs.

  12. Kent declare at Tunbridge Wellspublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Kent 197 & 446-8d v Warwickshire 125

519 to win! That's a mammoth target for Warwickshire, dwarfed only by, erm, Lancashire's target to beat Worcestershire at New Road.

Will Rhodes and Dominic Sibley open the innings for the visitors.

    Surrey 459 v Somerset 180 & 89-5 (f/o)

James Hildreth and Lewis Gregory are digging in for Somerset.

But they still have a mammoth job to save the game at Guildford.

The deficit is 190, five and a bit sessions left.

Forget about the 602 - their first task - survive until lunch.

  15. Durham collapse at Arundelpublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Sussex 552 v Durham 211 & 19-1 (f/o)

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

The talk this morning was about what the new ball could do for Sussex but how Durham needed to dig and continue to build an innings.

But from the moment Will Smith tried to sweep the fifth ball of the day from Danny Briggs through the legside it all went horribly wrong for the visitors.

It sparked a collapse of incredible proportions as they were bowled out just 9.5 overs later having lost their final six wickets for just nine runs. Stu Poynter, Josh Coughlin and Nathan Rimmington all fell to David Wiese for ducks.

The bowler took 4-4 in 30 balls. Durham were all out for just 211 and the follow-on was announced before the players were even off the pitch! They began their second innings trailing by a mammoth 341 runs.

You could suggest you write them off at your peril these days following come-backs against Leicestershire and Derbyshire in recent weeks but the task facing them now is a massive one.

Essex paceman Neil Wagner gets Jake Libby with an absolute beauty which nips back in and clatters into his leg stump.

Notts have lost their last three wickets for 12 runs, but still lead by a healthy 269.

  17. Alex Hughes hits a century for Derbyshirepublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Glamorgan 283 v Derbyshire 275-5 (100 overs)

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Derbyshire batsman Alex Hughes led his side’s progress towards a first innings lead as he reached a century before running himself out for 103.

Hughes, averaging just 14 before the game, got to three figures off 180 balls.

Obdurate partner Billy Godleman had departed just before, leg-before to Andrew Salter for 24 with one six and a plethora of defensive shots.

With third seamer David Lloyd ruled out of fielding with a knee injury, Glamorgan opted not to take the new ball in the Swansea sunshine.

    Worcestershire 247 & 484-7 dec v Lancashire 130

If Lancashire do indeed chase down 602 at New Road, it'll be the highest total to win a match in first-class history.

West Zone's 541-7 to beat South Zone in Hyderabad in 2010 is the best of all time.

And the declaration does indeed come!

    Lancashire need 602 to win.

Or bat out five and a bit sessions. Both scenarios are pretty unlikely, it has to be said.

  20. Division Two round-uppublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

Durham are following on against Sussex at Arundel after a disastrous morning which saw them sink from 202-4 to 211 all out. They've already lost Cameron Steel, bowled for eight by Jofra Archer. They're 329 behind on 12-1 following on.

Warwickshire have taken two Kent wickets at Tunbridge Wells today, where the home side are 441-8 and leading by a daunting 513.

Leicestershire are batting watchfully against Middlesex at Grace Road, where they're 226 runs ahead on 32-3 after the early loss of Colin Ackermann and Harry Dearden.

Alex Hughes has taken Derbyshire close to parity with Glamorgan with an innings of 103 at Swansea before being run out by Michael Hogan. They're 12 behind on 271-5.

The Division Two day-night game is between Northants and Gloucestershire at Northampton. The visitors are 245-8 following on - a slender lead of 25.
