This is where we leave you, I'm afraid.

But worry not, cricket fans. We'll be back tomorrow for some final day action and the conclusion of this round's matches.

We hope to see you there. For now, thank you for joining us.

  2. Close of playpublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 91-2

And with that final Ollie Rayner ball bowled, the day's play is over at the Ageas Bowl and Yorkshire fans rejoice - Gary Ballance is still at the crease.

The White Rose are still behind by two runs going into the final day, mind.

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 80-2

Just under five overs left to bowl at the Ageas Bowl this evening.

Gary Ballance is at strike and is on 15. It would be a good news for Yorkshire if he's still there come stumps.

Things have slowed down a bit as the night draws on in Southampton.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Gary Ballance are at the crease, the latter of whom will be looking to have another successful spell with the bat, having scored 109 in Yorkshire's first innings.

    AZ Lees lbw b Rayner 39 (Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 58-2)

Ollie Rayner is doing the damage and has removed both Yorkshire openers within four overs.

Anyway, I feel partly responsible for this. Alex Lees is trapped lbw and he's gone.

Hampshire seizing the initiative here. Or maybe I've got magical cricket powers.

    Let's say it's both.

  7. Postpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 58-1

Alex Lees will want to stay at the crease for when they return tomorrow and so far he's not doing too badly.

I mean, now I've said that, he'll probably be bowled out in the next few overs..

Yorkshire have clawed down Hampshire's first innings lead of 93 down to 35 as it stands. Plenty of light at the Ageas Bowl as we approach the tail end of the evening session.

    Lyth c Alsop b Rayner 17 (Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 49-1)

And there's the breakthrough Hampshire will be hoping for!

Ollie Rayner's claimed the wicket of Adam Lyth who departs for just 17. The hosts will be pleased with that one. 18 overs remain.

  9. Postpublished at 20:00 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 46-0

A change of bowler for Hampshire as off-spinner Ollie Rayner comes on.

Yorkshire are 46 without loss so far in their second innings, with Alex Lees on 30 and Adam Lyth on 16.

  10. Postpublished at 19:50 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 37-0

Some calls from Hampshire for lbw on Alex Lees from the bowling of Gareth Berg but it clearly hits his bat and those calls die down.

They're desperate for a wicket. A quick breakthrough could change the face of this match as we approach the midway point of the evening session on day three.

  11. Postpublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 33-0

And we're back under way. We've got just over 26 overs left in the day.

  12. Postpublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 31-0

Adam Lyth has been struck by the ball following a Dale Steyn delivery and there's a break in play whilst he's seen to.

He's been attended to by a physio. Meanwhile, Yorkshire currently trail by 61 runs. That gap is narrowing.

  13. Postpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 31-0

Six overs gone in Yorkshire's second innings and Alex Lees is having a good old time with the bat.

He's hit six fours and is on 25. He's partnered by Adam Lyth who's currently on 5.

  14. Postpublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350 & 17-0

A cracking opening few overs for Alex Lees. He cannons four boundaries off the bowling of Fidel Edwards within five balls.

The White Rose will want to see some more of that. And me, for that matter.

  15. Postpublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

We are back under way at the Ageas Bowl.

Alex Lees and Adam Lyth are at the crease for Yorkshire with Dale Steyn bowling.

  16. Durham lose to Sussex at Arundel - reactionpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

Sussex win by an innings and 64 runs

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Newcastle

Durham captain Paul Collingwood told BBC Newcastle:

“It’s been a disappointing day to say the least. The plan was to get up to the new ball unscathed and through the day get past the follow-on and put them under pressure.

“But credit to Sussex, the way they bowled this morning. They got movement through the air and we didn’t have an answer for it. And with the weight of runs they had in the first innings we could not put that pressure on them.

“The one thing we have not done well this season is have a good first day and we need to put that right as soon as possible. We have been excellent in certain games in fighting back but we could not do that in this match.

“The overcast conditions on day one were good for bowling but anything loose we bowled they put away for four and the boundary count in that first innings was huge and it put us under pressure. But credit to Sussex. They have been better than us in this game and have out-skilled us.”

  17. Tea at Southamptonpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350

    Thanks Gary.

Remember, there's only one day-night game left standing after Northants beat Gloucestershire earlier today.

So it's little old me taking you through the evening session between Hampshire and Yorkshire this evening.

  18. Postpublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

Okay, with that wicket of Fidel, they're taking tea at Hampshire.

And that's where I'll hand over to Jay Freeman who will take you through the evening session.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Edwards c Tattersall b Brooks 0 (Hampshire 443 v Yorkshire 350)

Fidel Edwards nicks Jack Brooks behind and that's the end of Hampshire's first innings.

Gareth Berg is left stranded on 84.

Brooks finishes with 5-124, but that's a handy lead of 93 for the hosts.

  20. Close of play at Grace Roadpublished at 18:41 British Summer Time 22 June 2018

    Leicestershire 427 & 186 v Middlesex 233 & 82-3 (28 overs) Target - 381

This is going to be a very tough run chase on a wicket that's been a bit up and down of late, but Middlesex are holding on here.

Hats off to Stevie Eskinazi for battling through to 35 not out after two painful blows on the hand.

A huge boost for Leicestershire after Ben Raine had Dawid Malan caught behind just before the close, and they nearly had another with a close call for lbw against Eskinazi turned down off Mohammad Abbas.

299 more runs required to win.

Eskinazi resumes tomorrow with nightwatchman Ravi Patel.
