    Warwickshire 313-3 v Kent (target 519)

Warwickshire will be happy to see it out to lunch now after the loss of those two quick wickets.

Ian Bell is the key - he's 158 not out.

If Belly adds another 100 onto that, the Bears should have the record chase in their pocket. 206 still needed.

  2. NOTTS BEAT ESSEXpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 23 June 2018
    Breaking

    Nottinghamshire (380 & 266) beat Essex (206 & 139) by 301 runs

That's an absolute thumping for the county champions.

Samit Patel gets Neil Wagner, caught by Ross Taylor at slip, and Essex are all out for 139.

Notts take 23 points from the game and move 14 points clear of Essex into second place.

Essex are fourth in Division One and have plenty of batting woes.

    Trott c Rouse b Podmore 0 (Warwickshire 308-3, target 519)

Another wicket for Harry Podmore! Jonathan Trott goes without scoring.

The former England batsman nicks the Kent seamer behind and is on his way.

That's a big blow for Warwickshire's chances of getting this record score.

    Lancashire 347-5 v Worcs (target 602)

    Keaton JenningsImage source, Rex Features

Lancashire still have a chance of knocking Warwickshire off the back page you know.

Jordan Clark is more than handy with the bat and Keaton Jennings looks unmovable on 169.

The Red Rose county need another 255, Worcestershire require five wickets. Brilliant finish at New Road.

  7. Kiran Carlson falls for 152published at 12:35 British Summer Time 23 June 2018

That's a much-needed breakthrough for Derbyshire, who took Glamorgan's third wicket with only 48 on the board.

Kiran Carlson tries to drive Tony Palladino through the off side and edges on to his stumps.

A fine innings nonetheless. 182 balls and 20 fours.

    Glamorgan are 262 ahead now.

Here's an update from Grace Road and Swansea...

Middlesex are struggling to meet a target of 381 to beat Leicestershire. Paul Stirling was the last man out, caught behind off a loose drive for 4. Gavin Griffiths was the bowler. The visitors are 149-5.

Batting has been made to look easier at Swansea where Glamorgan are 252 ahead of Derbyshire on 331-3. Kiran Carlson has just passed 150 and Usman Khawaja is on 125.

    Essex 139-9 v Notts (target 441)

I'll be honest, I've lost a bit of focus on proceedings from Chelmsford, while Warwickshire are on for this record chase.

Essex's last-wicket pair Matt Quinn and Neil Wagner are resisting, but it's only a matter of time before Notts win this one.

I'll let you know as soon as it's done and dusted...

Ian Bell pulls Matt Henry away for his 21st boundary to bring up the 250 stand with Dom Sibley.

Bell is up to 144, Warwickshire need 222 to win.

It sounds mad I know, but the Bears will be hugely disappointed if they fail to win from here.

Peter Goodwin: Keaton Jennings with a mammoth knock for Lancashire so far, if they manage to chase 602 to win then they owe it all to him. Would have to be the performance of the season so far.

If Keaton Jennings helps Lancashire chase down 602, it might be the greatest knock of all time Peter! Still a long way to go mind...

    Essex are eight down...

Adam Wheater flashes at one from Harry Gurney outside off, gets an inside edge and the ball clatters into his timbers.

This has been a sorry batting display from the defending county champions.

    Dom SibleyImage source, Rex Features

This has easily been Dom Sibley's best Championship innings of the summer. His average was below 20 in the format before this game.

He reaches three figures off 232 balls. Ian Bell is flying at the other end on 131.

Warwickshire need another 239 to beat Kent. Madness.

  20. 150 for Jenningspublished at 11:53 British Summer Time 23 June 2018

    Lancashire 310-4 v Worcs (target 602)

This is turning into a monumental innings from Keaton Jennings.

The tall, wiry left-hander biffs Ed Barnard for his 25th boundary to move past 150.

His stand with Dane Vilas is worth 50, and maybe Lancashire still believe?

Imagine if we have a chase of 519 and 602 on the same day. I think I'll retire. Nothing will top that.
