  1. Hampshire 255-2published at 39 overs

    Northeast 31, Rossouw 118

Rilee Rossouw hits one of the cleanest sixes you could ever wish to see. It's as smooth as you like, high in to the stands beyond deep mid-wicket.

And it appears to land in some poor chap's lunchbox. The spectator is somewhat amused. Marvellous.

    They're beyond 250 now.

Rilee Rossouw has played brilliantly today, he weathered the early few overs and since then he's looked in control of this whole game.

You feel that if he keeps going this could be quite dangerous as a platform that he has built, he could really explode in the last few overs.

  3. Hampshire 245-2published at 38 overs

Kent's Joe Denly gives Rilee Rossouw a few things to think about with his spin here. He's getting some movement out there now.

But still, eight off the over.

  4. Hampshire 237-2published at 37 overs

    Northeast 28, Rossouw 103

At the start of the 37th over, Sam Northeast launches one away, high and looping towards long on, similarly to when James Vince was caught - but this is struck quite beautifully and it lands on the boundary.

After a replay... It's deemed to have bounced just deep enough to count as a six. So, more good news for Hampshire.

And another three singles follow from the over.

  5. Hampshire 228-2published at 36 overs

Sam Northeast angles a Joe Denly delivery away for four past deep fine leg. He didn't make great contact with it, but the outfield is so dry that the ball bounces away to the boundary kindly for him.

  6. 100 runs

100 for Rossouwpublished at 35 overs

    Hampshire 220-2

Applause breaks out around Lord's as former South Africa man Rilee Rossouw brings up his 100.

He gets there off 97 balls, hitting eight fours and two sixes along the way. A fine innings.

Kent needed this... Here's a look at how they took the first wicket earlier.

  8. Hampshire 215-2published at 34 overs

    Northeast 12, Rossouw 97

After nearly two and a half hours out there, Rilee Rossouw is closing in on his 100.

The drinks are coming out now. Time for the players to get some (hopefully) chilled water. It's very hot out there.

There are 16 overs left in Hampshire's innings.

  9. Hampshire 210-2published at 33 overs

That's a lovely shot from Sam Northeast, bouncing away between cover and cover point for four more. Tidy.

  10. 'It is big building wicket'published at 13:16 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

I think we are going to see a lot of runs today - I've seen quite a few 300+ scores this summer in the One-Day Cup.

The wicket isn't like when we saw that destructive innings from Alex Hales last year, it's more like a big building wicket.

  11. Hampshire 203-2published at 32 overs

Sam Northeast picks up his first boundary of the afternoon, as Hampshire move past 200.

They'd have taken this score after 32 overs before the toss, I'm sure.

  12. WATCH: Rossouw survives run out appealpublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 30 June 2018

Here's that run out shout from a few minutes ago back in the 28th over. Have a look for yourself.

Rilee Rossouw did well to get back in time.

  13. Hampshire 195-2published at 31 overs

    Northeast 0, Rossouw 89

Imran Qayyum will be a lot happier now. His figures of 2-29 from his five overs aren't bad at all.

  14. Hampshire 193-2published at 30.2 overs

Former Kent man Sam Northeast is the next man out for Hampshire. Here he comes, and he starts with a safe defensive shot.

  15. wicket

WICKET Vince (c Denly b Qayyum) 23published at 30.1 overs

    Hampshire 193-2

He's gone! England's James Vince is caught at long-on. Joe Denly takes the catch and that's Imran Qayyum's second wicket of the day.

Not the big score that we'd expected from the in-form Vince.

  16. Hampshire 193-1published at 30 overs

A confident Rilee Rossouw steps in to a slightly shorter delivery from Darren Stevens and hits it away for four on the onside.

  17. Hampshire 187-1published at 29 overs

Just the four singles for Hampshire off Imran Qayyum's latest over.

The run rate is 6.38, so they're still on for a pretty sizeable score.

  18. Rossouw not outpublished at 28 overs

    Hampshire 182-1

There's a nervous moment for Hampshire and Rilee Rossouw as Darren Stevens gets his fingers to the ball to divert it straight on to the stumps at the non-striker's end...

And they'll have a look at it...

But Rossouw managed to get his bat back in time. Not out.

  19. Hampshire 177-1published at 27 overs

    Vince 18, Rossouw 77

James Vince slightly fortunately edges one away for four more runs off Imran Qayyum. It's not been Kent's day so far, has it?

But now here comes a replacement ball as the other was out of shape somewhat...

Hampshire are in a great position, not running away with it just yet but with wickets in the shed they can really start pushing on now.
