  2. 50 for Sam Curranpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Nottinghamshire 210 v Surrey 421-6

Sam Curran reaches his 50 from 72 deliveries.

It's the 11th half-century of the 20-year-old's career in first-class cricket, helping Surrey to a 211-run lead over Notts, still with four first-innings wickets in hand.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Whiteley b Overton 26 (Worcestershire 166-8 v Somerset 337)

A straight one from Jamie Overton as he emerges from round the wicket clatters into off-stump to send Ross Whiteley on his way.

He'd been keeping quite a pace with Luke Wood as the Pears look to avoid the follow-on.

Since then, Luke Wood and Dillon Pennington have added a run each - meaning Worcestershire need 19 to avoid the follow-on.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Bresnan b Clark 18 (Lancashire 109 v Yorkshire 192 & 211-7)

Fresh from yesterday's hat-trick that took out Joe Root, Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow, Jordan Clark draws blood again.

It's a perfect delivery, as a bit of late seam movement sends middle stump back and Tim Bresnan on hi way for 18.

Yorkshire still lead by 298, though.

  5. Postpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Worcestershire 158-7 v Somerset 337

A flurry of boundaries for Worcestershire, including three in one over for Luke Wood.

Ross Whiteley managed two in the previous over and their partnership is racing along at 37 from 4 overs.

They only need 30 to avoid the follow-on.

  6. Postpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Lancashire 109 v Yorkshire 192 & 201-6

Tim Bresnan and Steven Patterson's stand is worth 27 for Yorkshire as they lead Lancashire by 276.

Leg-spinner Matt Parkinson has been brought into the attack.

Lancashire are beginning to get frustrated again.

    Nottingham 210 v Surrey 406-6

Surrey will take maximum batting bonus points from this match as they pass 400 in the 85th over.

Sam Curran and Rikki Clarke have put on 55 for the seventh-wicket partnership, 43 of which have been Curran's.

Nottinghamshire have taken the new ball but to no avail so far...

    Sussex 327 v Glamorgan 17-5

Erm, it's got even worse for Glamorgan.

Jofra Archer has just picked up his fourth wicket, dismissing Kiran Carlson. Phil Salt clung onto a stunner in the slips.

Tom Hayward: not sure Ballance hit it, thigh pad. Either way he wasn't happy walking up the steps. Choice words towards umpire...

Having watched it back a couple of times, you might be right there, Tom. It's still an awkward stroke, but might Gary Ballance have been a bit unlucky with that dismissal?

  10. Archer rips through Glamorganpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Sussex 327 v Glamorgan 11-4

    Look away now Glammy fans.

Sussex paceman Jofra Archer is running riot at Hove with three quick wickets.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Milton lbw b C Overton 8 (Worcs 120-7 v Somerset 337)

Craig Overton looks to have hit Alex Milton in line with off-stump and he traps the Worcestershire debutant lbw.

Things going from bad to worse for the Pears, who lost Ed Barnard in the previous over.

But Ross Whitely is looking to turn their luck - he's off the mark with a boundary.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Barnard b Davey 29 (Worcs 120-6 v Somerset 337)

Unplayable delivery from Somerset seamer Josh Davey.

There's plenty of pace and a bit of late swing to glance the top of off-stump, and Ed Barnard can do nothing about it.

Worcestershire need 67 to avoid the follow-on.

  13. Postpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Nottinghamshire 210 v Surrey 384-6

That's a mad spell from Rikki Clarke as Surrey take 16 from their latest over.

Jake Ball's first delivery to Clarke went for four byes before Clarke flicked one off the pad through mid-wicket.

He then added a cut to backward point and finished it off with a cheeky flick to fine leg.

Owes more to wayward bowling from Ball than anything else, though. Sorry, Rikki.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Ballance c Vilas b Bailey 9 (Lancs 109 v Yorks 192 & 170-6)

Caught down the leg side by wicketkeeper Dane Vilas, Gary Ballance is out attempting to pull one wide of leg stump.

    It goes horribly wrong.

That's Vilas' fifth catch of the innings.

  15. Postpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Somerset 337 v Worcestershire 98-5

Fairly uneventful since lunch, this one.

Ed Barnard steers one through backward point for four from Josh Davey, but it's pretty steady beyond that.

    Nottinghamshire 210 v Surrey 363-6

Surrey are chugging along nicely as they aim to extend their lead over Nottinghamshire.

Rikki Clarke hits a boundary from Samit Patel with a straight drive before Sam Curran chops through extra cover for four from Jake Ball.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 23 July 2018

    Bairstow c Buttler b Onions 82 (Lancashire 109 v Yorkshire 192 & 160-5)

That was some stint from Jonny Bairstow.

He chases one well outside of off-stump and departs after making 82 off 67 balls, caught at point by Jos Buttler off Graham Onions.

    Burns c Mullaney b Patel 153 (Nottinghamshire 210 v Surrey 347-5)

Rory Burns is out the ball after bringing up his 150.

He fends at a delivery outside off-stump, the ball doesn't turn and Steven Mullaney takes the catch off the outside edge at first slip.

A superb innings from the Surrey captain - possibly a match-winning one.

    Batted, Rory.

The Surrey man brings up his 150 as he sweeps Samit Patel through square leg for four more runs.

But his luck doesn't last long...
