  6. Worcestershire in charge as Moeen passes 200published at 14:12 British Summer Time 21 August 2018

    Yorks 216 v Worcs 510-3

Moeen's best first class score is 250.

Don't count against him going beyond that today as he belts another six off Adam Lyth, gets a single and then takes a four and a single off Josh Poysden to move on to 219.

Could he be in the frame for England at the Ageas Bowl?

Quite a statement of intent by new Somerset batsman Lewis Gregory, who clips Peter Siddle over mid-wicket for six and then forces the next ball away through the covers for four.

Seven balls on from the start of his innings and he's 11 not out, and has already overtaken partner Steven Davies.

Somerset are running out of batsmen now, but they are 276 ahead. Essex spinner Simon Harmer has 3-39.

Moeen Ali added 83 runs to his overnight 107 this morning and is within touching distance of a double century.

Superb knock of 178 by Daryl Mitchell, which was finally ended by a catch at at slip by Tim Bresnan off Adam Lyth.

Slight advantage Sussex at lunch on day three, with a lead of 76 and 10 wickets in hand

The new ball did the trick this morning with Ollie Robinson particularly impressive, taking two wickets including that of Alex Hughes, who batted very well for 77

With five sessions left in the match, Sussex will be looking to score briskly this afternoon and set Derbyshire a target at some stage tomorrow.

  19. Afternoon session begins at Southamptonpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 21 August 2018

    Hants 277 & 350-7 v Notts 166

How many runs will be enough?

The pitch has played pretty well so far with only very occasional low bounce. Tom Alsop just missed out on a second first class century, but it's been Hampshire's day overall.

Liam Dawson and Kyle Abbott, batting heroes in the first innings, will get us started.

  20. wicket

    WICKET S Curran (c Vilas b Bailey) 31published at 13:40 British Summer Time 21 August 2018

    Surrey 211 & 204-5 v Lancashire 247

Dane Vilas and Alex Davies have both had a go at keeping wicket for Lancashire in this match. It's Vilas behind the stumps today, though, and he makes no mistake as Sam Curran edges behind as he attempts to crash the ball away off the back foot.

Two decent scores for Curran in this game - 40 and 31 - but he needs to be turning some of his good starts into big ones to further his international prospects. Surrey lead by 168, but they've only got five wickets left now.
