Alex Lees and Cameron Steel had looked largely untroubled until Lees was given out caught behind, giving Ollie Robinson his sixth wicket of the match - a decision that Lees clearly thought shouldn’t have been given.

Sussex need that breakthrough, particularly as Division Two leaders Warwickshire and second-placed Kent, their two promotion rivals, both look well placed in their respective matches.

    Hampshire 50-4, target 75

Three overs until tea, it looks like this match will continue for a short while yet.

You'd expect Hampshire to get the job done from here, but on this Ageas Bowl wicket it's impossible to say anything for sure.

Tom Alsop is under pressure from Somerset seamer Jamie Overton right now.

  5. Postpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 11 September 2018

WICKETpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 11 September 2018

    Lyth c Vilas b Onions 7 (Yorkshire 209 & 19-2, Lancashire 252)

Adam Lyth follows in the next over. Another unhappy-looking fellow. He's given out caught behind to a thin edge off Graham Onions but the Yorkshire opener didn't look as if he thought he touched that.

The Tykes still trail by 24 runs. it's edging Lancashire's way again.

The sun is shining in Leeds but it's none too warm - and Yorkshire now need Gary Ballance and Harry Brook to steady things in the final testing few overs before tea.

    Raval lbw Bailey 10 (Yorkshire 209 & 17-1, Lancashire 252)

New Zealander Jeet Raval goes cheaply again. He didn't look over happy with the LBW decision. But, then again, what batsman does?

    Hampshire 46-3, target 75

James Adams and Sam Northeast have put on 25 for Hampshire's fourth wicket, which looks like being a match-winning stand.

    Surrey 36-2, Worcestershire 336

England new boy Ollie Pope (19) has so far helped England wannabe Rory Burns (13) share 32 for the third wicket.

Only another 364 runs to go for Surrey to go to lift the title - assuming Somerset lose at Southampton. They would have to reach that mark inside 110 overs to claim maximum batting points. It won't be done today. But it might now be tomorrow!

  12. Postpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 11 September 2018

    Hampshire 45-3, target 75

Are Hampshire out of the woods?

Not quite yet, but James Adams finds the rope to put them onto 45-3 against Somerset.

    Notts 177 v Essex 227-9

Simon Harmer has made his way to 42* and Essex have a lead of 50 runs at Trent Bridge.

Warwickshire have made progress after their delayed start at Grace Road agains Leicestershire.

As for their promotion rivals, Middlesex are fighting back against second-placed Kent in their second innings at Lord's. The hosts have reached 168-7, a lead of 137 runs with three wickets remaining.

As for third-placed Sussex, they were bowled out for 122 by Durham at Chester-le-Street, to lead by only 19. Chris Rushworth's 8-51 were his best match figures since his career-best 9-52 four years ago - when he took 15 wickets in the match against Northants on the same track, in 2014.

Even better for Durham, their openers Cameron Steel and Alex Lees are now doing better second time around on 55-0.

They are also playing after a delayed start at Sophia Gardens, where Jack Taylor and Ben Charlesworth have so far put on 64 to help Gloucestershire lead, replying to the 137 made by Glamorgan.

But after rain at Wantage Road, prospects look bleak. Derbyshire were halted on 118-4 against Northamptonshire, with Alex Hughes still there on 74.
