    Sussex 68-3 v Warwks 440

    Four runs from Patel's over.

Olly Stone fires a loosener down the leg side and is clipped away for four by Michael Burgess.

A bit of a hold up as the ball is briefly lost at the Cromwell Road End.

Shot! Burgess hammers Stone through the off side for four more.

Another four runs for Burgess through point.

Great start for Burgess after a lean patch earlier in the season.

  4. Evening session underway at Hovepublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex 52-3 v Warwks 440

In spite of the grim score this has been a mini-recovery from Luke Wells and Michael Burgess, who have put on 38 together since Luke Wells became Keith Barker's third victim this afternoon.

It's a true pitch but huge scoreboard pressure and remember - Tom Haines is out of commission with an injured ankle.

Jeetan Patel will get us started with the ball.

  5. wicket

WICKET Robinson (c Cooke b Smith 17)published at 15:42 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Glamorgan 186 v Kent 342-7

Ruaidhri Smith has his second wicket of the day, but Glamorgan need a few more to have any hope in this match.

Ollie Robinson is Kent's seventh wicket to fall, feathering one down leg side to the keeper.

  6. wicket

WICKET Raval (c Alsop b Edwards) 9published at 15:40 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 & 26-1 v Hants 157

Big appeal for lbw from Kyle Abbott against Adam Lyth but it looks like he's outside the line.

    Maiden over.

There's the breakthrough! Fidel Edwards finds the edge and Jeet Raval is caught behind.

The new man is Harry Brook.

  7. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorkshire 184 & 26-0 v Hampshire 157

Yorkshire had a bit of fortune when Jeet Raval was dropped on four, but it's otherwise been an ideal start to their second innings.

Raval and Adam Lyth have got their side's lead up to 53 after eight overs.

Remember, a win for Yorkshire would guarantee their place in the top division for next season.

  8. Postpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Glamorgan 186 v Kent 334-6

Maximum batting bonus points could be on the cards for promotion-chasing Kent today.

Sam Billings has 78 from 113 deliveries, and his side have a 148-run lead over Glamorgan.

Oliver Robinson has only faced 20 balls but already has a useful 13 runs to his name.

  9. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex 52-3 v Warwks 440

Keith Barker is bowling round the wicket now and Burgess plays defensively on the off side.

Can he get another one before tea?

Burgess has a swing and a miss as he aims a flashing drive through point.

He gets a single to point off the next ball and Luke Wells picks up another down to fine leg.

Time for a break. Sussex are a long way back and maybe a bit demoralised after a fine stand by Trott and Bell here, plus the defeats against Middlesex and Durham in their last two away rounds.

Hats off to Keith Barker - who has 3-19.

  10. Durham on the brinkpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Leicestershire 321 v Durham 61 & 50-8

  11. dropped catch

Jeet Raval dropped on four by Tom Alsoppublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 & 15-0 v Hants 157 (lead by 420

Frustration for Kyle Abbott, who finds the edge but the keeper can't hold on. A low chance for sure but a chance nonetheless.

    Expensive drop? We'll find out.

  12. Tea at Chelmsfordpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Worcestershire 94 & 20-2 v Essex 474-7 dec

Worcestershire reach tea with eight second-innings wickets to spare.

They still need an improbable 360 runs to make Essex bat again.

It's going to take far more than that to have any hope of a win which would delay their relegation.

  13. Sussex in trouble at Hovepublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex 42-3 v Warwks 440

Lovely shot from Michael Burgess - who cuts Chris Wright off the back foot for a couple.

One more run through the covers.

Edged! Just short of the slips though and Luke Wells gets a streaky four.

  14. Crawley's 'majestic' innings puts Kent in chargepublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Glamorgan 186 v Kent 313-6

    Nick Webb
    BBC Wales Sport

Kent opener Zak Crawley took his career-best score to a majestic 168 off 237 balls as his side pushed their lead to 127 by the time a shower brought an early tea.

Crawley and Sam Billings added 132 before Kieran Bull turned one past Crawley’s defences, but Billings was on 59 at the interval.

Glamorgan took the new ball but just seven balls were bowled before rain intervened, though it should not mean any loss of overs.

  15. Postpublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 & 6-0 v Hants 157 (lead by 33)

Jeet Raval gets off the mark with a nudge to mid wicket off Edwards.

He pushes the ball a bit wide of off stump and the opener leaves it alone.

  16. Yorkshire begin their second inningspublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 & 4-0 v Hants 157

Adam Lyth opens with Jeet Raval.

He gets off the mark with a checked drive through the off side for four off Kyle Abbott.

    31 ahead.

  17. Warwickshire take controlpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Sussex 25-3 v Warwks 440

Rain at Canterbury - will it find it's way down to Hove? Sussex wouldn't mind.

Nice shot from Luke Wells, who clips a leg side ball square for four runs.

  18. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Glamorgan 186 v Kent 313-6

A slightly early tea break will be taken at Kent as rain has forced the teams off.

Hopefully it's nothing more than a quick shower.

  19. Mid-innings break at Headingleypublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 and Hants 157

So 30 remains the highest score by a batsman on either side so far.

What makes a good target here? 200? 250?

  20. wicket

WICKET Berg (lbw b Coad) 25published at 14:56 British Summer Time 19 September 2018

    Yorks 184 v Hants 157

Ben Coad spears it into Gareth Berg...

He tries to nudge it down to leg and he's struck plumb in front.

The gap is 27. Could be worth a fair bit on this wicket.
