    England captain Eoin Morgan, speaking at the toss: "I would've done the same for obvious reasons - there is a bit of rain around. Though the wicket looks good and shouldn't change. Hopefully the rain stays away and we get a full game in.

    "There lot of be learned from defeat in the last ODI - our energy and skill levels were down but it was the hottest place we've been to on tour and we've learned from it for our preparation for this one.

    "This game still holds a lot of weight - it's an opportunity to represent your county and stake your claim in a well-settled team."

    So what did we learn from the one-day internationals series between Sri Lanka and England?

    Mainly, it rains a lot and very heavily in the monsoon season in Sri Lanka. Probably not the best time for cricket really.

    Oh and that England remain a prodigious ODI side. Except that when they do lose, they tend to so in ridiculously inept fashion. Still, the tourists should be largely happy with a 3-1 series win.

    So what will we learn from this one-off Twenty20 international?

    Not much perhaps, but it should be fun. Here we go...
