Tom Curran has bowled much better spells than this in ODI cricket.

Full and on leg stump - four more to Imam.

Curran buries his face in his hand.

People are less fearful about chasing huge scores than they used to be. I always think the tenser the game - a World Cup semi-final, for example - if you can get runs on the board, that can tense up the batsmen when they're chasing, but I'm not sure the modern player sees it like that.

  3. Pak 250-4published at 39 overs

    Imam 124, Asif 34

Mark Wood watches on from the sidelines. England just look they need a bit of extra pace here with both the Durham man and Jofra Archer out of the side. Ben Stokes has been England's quickest bowler today, if you are wondering.

Chris Woakes returns and Imam still tries to attack, this time with less success. He skews one perfectly into a open space on the off-side and then almost hits one straight to mid-off.

    A better over for England.

It's been OK bowling. The one thing we'll note - probably unfairly - is that Denly has bowled the one over, and it wasn't a great over. I feel a bit sorry for him. Even at Kent, he's barely a regular bowler, and this is such a huge leap. He is ultimately a batsman who can bowl a few overs of wrist-spin. He's been pumped up too much for his own good.

  6. Pak 245-4published at 38 overs

    Imam 120, Asif 33

10 runs come from the over. Another expensive one.

Imam-ul-Haq has added another 20 runs since but here is the wagon wheel of his century.

    Chance!

A direct from Jason Roy and Imam-ul-Haq would have been gone. The batsman had given up trying to get back.

That was almost a run-out Imam's uncle would have been proud of. A suicidal run.

Luke Kellett: This just shows what having Archer in the side does for England - an injection of pace would have been ideal in this game.

  9. Pak 239-4published at 37.1 overs

Eoin Morgan might have to have a word with his bowlers here.

The first ball of Tom Curran's latest over is hit for four by Asif Ali.

This is serious acceleration. That was well played from Imam - he got a lovely, fine glance and got full value.

Imam did indeed blow David Willey a kiss after that. I assume Willey must have had a little word.

It's the Pakistan batsman winning this battle right now. Willey strays in line and Imam tucks him down to fine leg four another boundary.

Pakistan are putting their foot down now. 26 runs have come from the last two overs.

I think he might have just blown a kiss in David Willey's direction!

The shot of the match so far!

    Brilliant.

Imam-ul-Hap pumps David Willey for a big six over long-on.

If these two stay together, I think Pakistan could get close to 350, 360. But you can never take it for granted - someone can take a brilliant catch, someone can bowl really well and suddenly, you're struggling to get 300 because you're running out of batsmen.

  15. Pak 220-4published at 36 overs

    Imam 106, Asif 24

It's not Tom Curran's best over. Asif Ali takes a fancy to him too and lofts one over the infield on the leg side. This partnership is worth 58.

That was real aggression but timed so well.

  17. Pak 213-4published at 35.2 overs

Imam-ul-Haq can play the big shots too! This one is clobbered over extra cover. The fielders don't both moving. There's no stopping it.

Joe Denly is overlooked again. Does Morgan trust him?

That was Imam-ul-Haq's joint fastest 100, from 97 balls, with 11 fours.

And there's plenty of time for Imam-ul-Haq to score a few more. It feels like he's only in second gear. Can he kick on?
