Joe Denly must have just got a sinking feeling in his stomach. Like when you're told off by the teacher at school. His spell lasts one over. Not the best first impression.

Moeen Ali returns and is more successful in keeping it tight. Just five singles from the six deliveries.

Drinks are coming onto the field.

And here he is! Phil on the left, with his mate Stu. Phil's is in the Grace Apartments, with a cracking view from a wideish long-off at the Ashley Down Road End. He says he bought the flat with the cricket in mind and is a popular man when major matches are taking place in Bristol. In fact, there's a healthy gathering of people in there today, all the way down to Phil's six-week-old son. Marvellous stuff.

  3. Pak 183-4published at 30 overs

    Imam 89, Asif 4

Another! Imam is in fine nick. He hardly hit this but Plunkett's slower ball speeds to the fence. Moeen Ali makes an untidy effort on the rope, trying to slide tackle the ball rather than going with his hands. Not as good footwork as Tom Curran earlier...

  4. Pak 179-4published at 29.4 overs

Shot! Imam-ul-Haq just keeps on going. Plunkett bangs one in short but the opener gets on top of it, managing to pull the ball between mid-wicket and mid-on for four.

    He's onto 85.

With the selection of the final bowler to make the World Cup squad so tight, it could come down to aspects like who is a better fielder.

David Willey did his chances no harm with this brilliant bit of fielding.

  6. Pak 174-4published at 29 overs

    Imam 81, Asif

Another full toss from Denly ends the over. Shall we put that one down to nerves? He's playing in place of Adil Rashid today. He's got to offer more than what you'd get from a a part-timer.

That was, in fact, Jordan's last act as a sub for that particular stint. Tom Curran returned after the wicket and Jordan was applauded back to the bench. How must Sarfaraz feel about that?

  8. Pak 172-4published at 28.3 overs

    Hmmm.

Two full tosses from Denly. The second is slapped for four by Imam-ul-Haq.

    Not the best start.

Now this could be an interesting spell.

Joe Denly is coming on for his first bowl of the game with his leg spin.

The other option, of course, is to leave Denly out and keep all of the seamers.

He'll be wanting to impress here.

  10. Pak 165-4published at 28 overs

    Imam 74, Asif 1

Once again Liam Plunkett is proving his worth to this England team. A partnership was building, both batsmen were ticking along in the middle overs and the big quick manages to take a wicket.

It's really not going to be an easy decision, getting this squad down to 15.

I'd quite like Chris Jordan in my World Cup squad so he can be the 12th man when we need a fielder.

Where did that shot come from, Sarfaraz? And if you could have any fielder beneath that, you'd want it to be Chris Jordan.

    Sarfaraz c sub (Jordan) b Plunkett 27 (Pak 162-4)

    This one is out though!

Sarfaraz Ahmed takes the risky option of trying to thump a back-of-a-length delivery from Liam Plunkett for six and it's his undoing. All he manages to do is get a top edge and the ball goes a mile in the air.

It's not an easy catch but Chris Jordan is under it at fine leg - of course he catches it.

    Yup. Easily in.

  15. Umpire reviewpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 14 May 2019

    We're checking for a run-out.

Joe Denly has hurled one in from the deep and that means Sarfaraz has had to get out the dive.

No one looks very interested. I'm pretty certain he has made his ground.

Ben Stokes is looking red in the cheeks and his spell has come to an expensive end. Eoin Morgan is bringing Liam Plunkett back into the attack.
