  1. Pak 169-1published at 28 overs

    Babar 81, Hafeez 23

    Shot!

Oh, this is a pie from Ben Stokes, a wayward full toss, and Babar Azam isn't going to let that go unpunished. He frees his arms and dispatches the ball through the off side for four.

Have you picked your all-time England ODI XI yet? If not, why not?

    You can do so here...

  3. Pak 161-1published at 27 overs

Pakistan let Joe Denly burgle his way through a couple of overs earlier in the day, which means they're now having to try and force a few boundaries off Adil Rashid.

Mohammad Hafeez goes on the attack, trying to force the ball over mid-off, but it's not timed and he'll have to settle for a single.

  5. Pak 158-1published at 26 overs

Ben Stokes will continue and he looks incredibly disgruntled as his first ball is called wide by the umpire.

A quick call from Babar Azam, blocking the ball back down at his feet, allows Pakistan to snaffle a sneaky single, before he pummels the ball through square leg for four.

    Cheers, Matthew.

Right, score predictions please? I really think you should be getting 350+ on a pitch as good as this one. There's only been one wicket to fall this morning, courtesy of Tom Curran.

  7. Pak 148-1published at 25 overs

After that expensive previous over Adil Rashid darts his leg-spinners in and that prevents the boundaries. Pakistan still knock seven runs from his over though.

Are they batting quickly enough? How many will they get?

Amy Lofthouse is here to take you through to the end of the innings.

  8. Pak 141-1published at 24 overs

    Babar 67, Hafeez 11

Well right now it's sunny in Nottingham as Ben Stokes continues. It's another good over from the Durham all-rounder.

He's given some good assistance in the field by Jason Roy who dives low to his left like Jon McLaughlin - niche football reference for you there - to prevent a boundary.

There's the threat of a possibility of a shower, but it is a very small threat. I did have a terrible dream about it raining last night.

  10. Pak 138-1published at 23 overs

Now Babar Azam punches Rashid through the off-side for his second four of this expensive over. What was I saying about England keeping it quiet?

Adil Rashid has been comfortably England's most expensive bowler so far. Not often we've said that in recent years.

  11. 6 runs

    Pak 133-1published at 22.4 overs

    Here comes Mohammad Hafeez!

Adil Rashid throws one up but is clobbered over the leg side for six.

Ben Stokes comes on and makes a tidy start. Hafeez is yet to get going and Babar Azam has slowed down a little.

Only six runs have come from the last 18 balls.

I think Fakhar could be a bit of a star of the World Cup for Pakistan. he's played a few games here now so he knows the conditions and he's in cracking form.

England have removed the dangerous Fakhar Zaman. This was one of his seven boundaries...

  17. Pak 119-1published at 21 overs

    Babar 56, Hafeez 1

That wicket means Adil Rashid can squeeze in a few dots to the new batsman Hafeez.

There has been some debate whether Pakistan are batting fast enough here. When England broke the world record here by scoring 481 against Australia they were 159-1 after 20 overs.

Because of Fakhar's bat speed, it traveled all the way down to third man. It's a good catch, with a bright sky and the sun just peeking through.
