    Run rate 6.87

A solid thwack from Tom Curran through the covers brings England another couple, before a thick outside edge beats the leaping fielder at third man and races away for four!

Well, if you're going to swing, swing hard. Thirteen from the over!

    What a shot!

Tom Curran goes down very, very early as Shaheen Afridi charges in, and a full bunger gets scooped way over Sarfaraz's head for six.

    Stokes c Fakhar b Hassan 21 (Eng 310-8)

    Ben Stokes holes out!

Oh, Stokes is furious with himself. It's just a length ball from Hassan Ali, perhaps taking a bit of the pace off, and Stokes has sent it straight to Fakhar Zaman at long-on.

  9. Eng 310-7published at 45.4 overs

Mickey Arthur allows himself a wry smile on the Pakistan balcony as Hassan Ali nails a yorker.

Oh, he'll not like that one though! Four to Ben Stokes, Hassan's yorker just a touch short, and Ben Stokes, with a furious flick of the wrists, sends the ball flying down the ground.

  10. Eng 306-7published at 45.2 overs

Short from Hassan Ali, and Mohammad Hassnain, fielding in front of what was the Western Terrace, comes haring around to stop Ben Stokes' back foot swipe going for four.

Whoops. David Willey picks out the longest art of the ground and wants two runs, but Stokes completely loses his footing. He ends up flat on his face at the striker's end, and England will have to settle for a single.

    Stokes 16, Willey 3

A thick outside edge gets David Willey off the mark, before Ben Stokes dabs a single down to third man.

  13. Eng 300-7published at 44.3 overs

Full toss from Shaheen Afridi, and Ben Stokes can only clobber it for a single. That'll be 300 up for England.

  14. Eng 299-7published at 44.2 overs

This is an excellent time for David Willey to underline why he should be in that final World Cup 15.

It's Ben Stokes that's on strike, though, and he picks up a precious four with a flay through extra cover that bounces over the diving fielder.

Woakes is trying to get it over mid-off but doesn't get the power on the shot. It was good bowling by Shaheen Afridi.

David Willey could now do with hitting a few to remind the selectors he can smack the ball into the stands.

    Woakes c Babar b Shaheen 13 (Eng 295-7)

    Gone!

It's the double bluff from Shaheen Afridi. Chris Woakes is hanging back, expecting the short ball, and he's got nowhere to go when the bowler spears it fuller. He half-jabs his bat underneath the ball and ends up bunting it to mid-off, where Babar Azam can easily shuffle around to take the catch.

This has been a good comeback from Pakistan after a mullering in the opening stages - although a couple of England batsmen have gifted them their wickets.

    Here's Shaheen Afridi.

This is only the fifth time in Chris Woakes' last 16 ODIs that he has batted. Twice England have not batted because of weather and on nine occasions England have not needed him. It is only his fifth ODI innings in the last 15 months and in that time he has only got 33 runs.

    Hassan 7-0-44-0

That is a very, very good over from Hassan Ali, ended with a bouncer than Ben Stokes can only swat away for one.
