Oh, well bowled, Hassan Ali, crunching a yorker that Ben Stokes awkwardly digs out.

Chris Woakes comes charging through for a single and Hassan Ali does his best slide tackling, sliding in and trying to throw the ball at the stumps, but Woakes is home and all Hassan gets for his trouble is a jarred knee.

  2. Eng 293-6published at 43.3 overs

Chris Woakes clobbers a single down the ground, and we're going to have a brief delay because Ben Stokes has broken his bat.

Liam Plunkett has brought him some anti-sweat spray for his hands. That's a thing, apparently.

  3. Eng 292-6published at 43.2 overs

Up in the air from Chris Woakes, launching Hassan Ali off his pads, but it's a clunky sound off the bat and he can't get the ball past the man at mid-wicket.

    It'll only be a couple...

I think there's only two of the 10 teams who can't reach the semi-finals in the World Cup - Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

    Stokes 8, Woakes 9

Chris Woakes leans back and cuts Imad nicely square of the wicket, but a good dive on the boundary rope keeps them to three.

This is excellent from Imad though, frustrating Ben Stokes who just can't clear the fielders, and the spinner finishes with figures of 3-53 from his 10 overs.

Edgbaston might be England's rowdiest ground, but Headingley's commitment to fancy dress in unrivalled, even on a gloomy Sunday. Bret 'the Hitman' Hart, Heath Ledger's Joker, Where's Wally and Captain Hook are all here.

A smattering of singles will have to do for England from this over.

    Now then!

Chris Woakes chips Mohammad Hafeez's second delivery back at him, Hafeez dives to his right and completely misjudges where the ball is going. That's a drop, acutally, Hafeez getting two hands to the ball and then propelling it towards mid-off instead.

Imad has got two overs up his sleeve still and he whistles through one here, conceding just three runs.

England are just being a little careful. It is sensible to reassess after two wickets have gone down and take it from there.

We know Stokes can go really hard but he will probably give himself another over or two.

It's all gone very quiet at Headingley.

Chris Woakes swings and misses at Mohammad Hasnain's first delivery, the ball hanging teasingly outside his off stump, and England can only conjure two runs from the over as Ben Stokes is befuddled by a Hasnain bouncer.

Chris Woakes blocks his way through two dot balls, before a flamingo flick through the leg side brings him a single.

That's two wickets in the over for Imad Wasim.
