Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Joe Root are those ahead of Morgan.

    Root 72, Buttler 1

Joe Root works a single through the leg side to bring Jos Buttler on strike, and Sarfaraz Ahmed immediately shoves a slip in.

An aerial sort of nudge gets Buttler off the mark. A wicket and three runs from the over for Shaheen Afridi.

Out goes Eoin Morgan, and in comes Jos Buttler.

It's not a bad replacement, is it?

Well done to Shaheen. Morgan looked like he was set to bat for days. What a brilliant innings. It was well bowled from Shaheen with an extra bit of pace and height.

    Gone!

It's short from Shaheen Afridi, into the body, cramping Eoin Morgan as he tries to let another huge pull shot fly. The ball balloons up on him and the top edge flies to mid-wicket, where Abid Ali jogs back and safely nestles the ball in his chest.

Too leg side first up, and Joe Root tickles a single, before Eoin Morgan almost swings himself off his feet trying to muller a wide delivery out of the ground.

Another change for Pakistan - here's Shaheen Afridi.

The six isn't a surprise anymore - it's more of a surprise when the ball is caught in the stands.

And again! And what a catch from the fella in the crowd!

Honestly, Eoin Morgan makes this look so easy. Again, a shimmy out of his ground, and with a flick of the wrist, Morgan clears mid-off and gets another big 'un.

    My WORD!

Eoin Morgan eyes up Imad Wasim's first ball, shimmying down the pitch and spanking the ball just underneath the top tier of the stand at long on. Ouch.

If you'd said to me four years ago that we'd be here expecting England to break their own one-day world record... it really is astonishing how far they have come.

A gentlemanly handshake between Joe Root and Eoin Morgan to celebrate their hundred partnership as they knock another couple of singles off Mohammad Hafeez's over.

    Morgan 60, Root 67

Warm applause at Headingley as a clipped single brings up England's 200, before Joe Root looks to the sky in annoyance as he drives a short ball straight towards the man at the edge of the circle.

A little leggy from Imad, allowing Morgan and Root to milk their field, but considering the carnage that's been unleashed in this innings, this is an economical sort of over.

There's a story about the World Cup scorecards - they're reprinting them so the tallies for spectators who keep score can go up to 500. They only went up to 400 initially.

When England posted that record 481 at Trent Bridge last year they were 203-1 after 25 overs (and only scored 31 in the final 4 overs). They’re 191-2 after 25 today.

This is a rather quiet over from Mohammah Hafeez - right up until Eoin Morgan lashes a square cut through the diving fielder for four runs.

    Cheers, Matthew. And happy birthday!

So then. The highest ODI total at Headingley is 339-6, which England posted against South Africa two years ago.

I suspect that'll be a distant memory by the time this lot are through...
