This is the first time an Australian leg-spinner has taken two or more wickets at a World Cup match since Shane Warne in the 1999 World Cup final at Lord's.

  2. Afg 77-4published at 20 overs

Captain Gulbadin Nabi is the new man.

That was a fairly loose shot from Rahmat. He had shown a lot of restraint up until that point but not there.

    Rahmat c Smith b Zampa 43 (Afg 75-4)

That's the end of the Rahmat Shah!

He'd played beautifully and deserved a World Cup fifty but a full-blooded drive is plucked out of the air by Steve Smith.

That is a really smart low catch by Smith.

Adam Zampa has his second wicket.

New Zealand are the first team to win by 10 wickets at a World Cup since Sri Lanka's quarter-final victory against England at Colombo in 2011.

  6. Afg 75-3published at 19 overs

That is a cracking first over back in the attack from Marcus Stoinis.

It is a real probing and testing line and length that is well dealt with by Rahmat and Nabi.

  7. Afg 74-3published at 18.2 overs

Ooh that is Rahmat Shah's first loose shot for a while.

Marcus Stoinis tempts him into a little prod wayyyy outside off-stump and looks away in disgust that it didn't take the edge.

Mitchell Starc only gets two overs in his second spell.

Marcus Stoinis is back into the attack.

  10. Afg 73-3published at 18 overs

That's a much better over from Adam Zampa.

But it's still pretty easy for Afghanistan as they milk him for three singles.

Over in Cardiff, New Zealand have just beaten Sri Lanka by 10 wickets.

What a start that is for the Kiwis.

A couple of singles complete Starc's fifth over.

That was gorgeous shot in the end from Rahmat.

  14. Afg 68-3published at 16.3 overs

    Hello!

What a shot that is from Rahmat Shah.

There's nothing really wrong with the delivery from Mitchell Starc and Rahmat just leans on it and pushes it to the cover boundary.

In case you're just joining us, here are the three wickets to have fallen so far.

  16. Afg 64-3published at 16 overs

Zampa responses well with just a single coming from the final three deliveries.

He must feel he has to do well today with Nathan Lyon watching on from the pavilion.

    Graeme Swann

Zampa doesn't look as if he is bowling with a great deal of verve and zest at the moment. That was just a long hop but well placed between the fielders by Rahmat.

  18. Afg 63-3published at 15.3 overs

That's a rank delivery from Adam Zampa and it gets the treatment it deserves as Rahmat Shah rocks back and lofts it over mid-wicket to the boundary.

One little corner of this ground has most definitely been taken over by the Afghanistan fans.

They’ve even brought their own sound system to keep the atmosphere going during some of the quieter moments.

Hopefully the stewarding around them doesn’t get too over-zealous as it might do if a couple keep standing on the seats, much to one staff member’s disdain.
