Five dot balls start Mitchell Starc's second spell.
A scrambled single off the final ball sees Mohammad Nabi keep the strike.
This is Starc's ninth Cricket World Cup match and he has taken at least two wickets in each of the other eight. His World Cup bowling average of 9.9 is currently the best of any player from any nation to bowl in more than two innings.
Mitchell Starc returns for Australia.
Aaron Finch is really switching his bowlers up here.
Mohammad Nabi is the new batsman for Afghanistan.
He gets off the mark first ball.
Successful first over for Adam Zampa.

I think you'll say that's inexperienced batting more than anything. Adam Zampa hadn't bowled a very good over until that point so Hashmatullah didn't need to dance down the wicket. But he did and didn't commit.
Hashmatullah st Carey b Zampa 18 (Afg 56-3)
Breakthrough!
Hashmatullah Shahidi has shown some real intent with his foot movement in the last few overs but it is his downfall in the end as he skips past Zampa's delivery.
Alex Carey does the rest behind the stumps despite a slight bobble.
Judging by this stroke Rahmat Shah plays spin pretty well too.
He reads Zampa's googly and drives through the covers and only a scampering Mitchell Starc prevents him picking up his fifth boundary.
That's the fifty partnership too.
Australia are going to bring their spinner Adam Zampa into the attack for the first time.
Rahmat Shah has handled the pace bowlers pretty well so far.
Nathan Coulter-Nile has settled down since his shaky first over.
His third is bang on the mark after the first delivery is driven for a couple.

That's a very good recovery from Afghanistan. There's no doubt who the neutrals in the crowd are supporting.
Nathan Coulter-Nile still has a slip in.
Aaron Finch knows that wickets are going to be key in this tournament.
Four runs come from Marcus Stoinis' second over.
One comes courtesy of a cover drive from Hashmatullah Shahidi that makes a beautiful noise off the bat.
Two of the runs were wides for short balls.
The short ball is a tactic sides seem keen on adopting during this tournament.
That's a bit of good fortune for Afghanistan.
Hashmatullah Shahidi swings hard and a top edge flies over the keeper's head for a one-bounce four.

Hashmatullah had scored just one off his previous 17 deliveries before that boundary.
Hashmatullah Shahidi decides he's had enough of defending and advances down the pitch to meet Coulter-Nile's delivery with a full-blooded drive.
It looks like it is going to be an easy stop for Marcus Stoinis at cover before it flies off one of the practice pitches, almost cleaning the all-rounder out, and races to the boundary.
Advantage Australia after the first powerplay?
Afghanistan have battled back well though.
Rahmat Shah loves latching onto anything that is short.
Not sure that's the smartest choice of delivery from Marcus Stoinis though, at his pace.
Marcus Stoinis is going to replace Pat Cummins for Australia.
