Much better line from Dawlat, a fraction short if anything but at least the line was better.

There's a bit of movement there for Dawlat Zadran, the ball moving back in to the Sri Lankan openers, and Dimuth Karunaratne has to stay watchful to see his way through the over.

This is the Sri Lanka we've been waiting to see, really aggressive, some smart play and rotating the strike.
K Perera 12, Karunaratne 6
My word. Kusal Perera stands tall and smashes a drive back past Hamid Hassan for a glorious four.
Fifteen from the over!
Really, really good running from Kusal Perera, pushing his skipper hard as he clips to deep point, and they snaffle three runs as two fielders converge on the ball.
Shot!
It's short from Hamid Hassan, sitting up nicely for Kusal Perera, and he rolls his wrists on a pull shot to get four. Good work fro the umpire at square leg too, leaping out of the way to avoid a nasty whack on the ankle.
Now then.
Hamid Hassan, easily the best dressed man on the field, is on to bowl, three slips lurking...

Afghanistan have gone in with the same team but changes within because Dawlat was first change in the first match and now has an opportunity with the new ball.
Good start from Dawlat Zadran, just nudging the mid-80s, but Sri Lanka get off the mark with a wide that trickles down the leg side.
Runs! Four of them, to be exact, Dimuth Karunaratne tickling a leggy delivery away to the boundary.

Certainly they are the two bottom ranked sides, that being the case it makes it a very big match for these two. If they put down they had the potential to beat three teams in this tournament they would have today's opposition at the top of the list.
Ooft. A nip-backer straight away from Dawlat, and Dimuth Karunaratne plays all around his pads.
Dawlat Zadran will open the bowling for Afghanistan.
And there's been a change at the top of the order for Sri Lanka - Kusal Perera has replaced Lahiru Thirimanne.
Belter, isn't it, Matt? Just as you think it's about to end, another verse kicks in. It's genuinely brightened my morning after I fell flat on my backside on my way in to work.

Matt Taggart: That Sri Lankan national anthem is quite something.
Right then, here come Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Perera to open the batting for Sri Lanka...
Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have met three times before in ODI cricket. Sri Lanka won the first two encounters in 2014 and 2015, but Afghanistan won their most recent clash in September 2018.
They have met just one at the World Cup, back in 2015, where Sri Lanka came through a nerve-shredder to win by four wickets with 10 balls remaining, despite losing both openers to golden ducks in their run chase.
Ah, the Sri Lankan national anthem. Always an absolute highlight of any global tournament.
My colleague in Cardiff has just sent me a message to "expect disruptions" today, courtesy of the weather.
It does look a bit... grim, overhead, I have to say.

Sri Lanka aren't having the best 2019 - they've lost nine of their 10 ODIs this year, with their sole victory coming against Scotland in May.
They were thrashed by New Zealand in their World Cup opener at Cardiff, posting just 136 before the Blackcaps romped home to a 10 wicket win.
Afghanistan also lost their World Cup opener, falling to a seven wicket defeat by Australia in a match that saw them lose both their openers for ducks.
They have won four of their eight completed ODIs this year and they beat Pakistan in their first World Cup warm-up match.
