Holder did the right thing because there is no way Brathwaite would have got back. I like the aggression, they are taking it to the bowlers but they have to take it to the end.

  2. Not outpublished at 44.3 overs

    WI 250-6

Yep. Jason Holder was well in. That's a single to the total.

  3. Third umpirepublished at 44.3 overs

A bit of a mix-up as Brathwaite's shot is fielded at mid-on and Windies opt late on to take a run.

The throw goes to the keeper's end but I think Holder is safe.

The TV umpire is going to check...

  4. WI 249-6published at 44.2 overs

Brathwaite now lofts just over David Warner at mid-on and scampers two.

  5. WI 247-6published at 44.1 overs

    Target 289

Pat Cummins is into his last over and Carlos Brathwaite is having none of this dot ball nonsense.

The big lad muscles it over mid-off and down the ground for four.

Very important innings from Holder, he really showed maturity but he's got to take it to the end.

  7. WI 243-6published at 44 overs

Need 46 runs from 36 balls

Brathwaite runs it down to third man to keep the strike with a single.

  8. 6 runs

    WI 242-6published at 43.5 overs

Someone tell Ben Stokes to give Nathan Coulter-Nile a call and set up a Carlos Brathwaite belligerence support group.

Brathwaite has absolutely leathered NCN into the stands over deep mid-wicket.

A few more metres on it and that was out of the ground.

  9. 50 runs

50 for Holderpublished at 43.4 overs

Jason Holder pulls it away flat and ferociously, but Glenn Maxwell is stationed out there in the deep.

Just a single but that takes the Windies captain to a superb 50 off as many balls.

  10. WI 235-6published at 43.2 overs

Jason Holder steers Nathan Coulter-Nile to wide third man and scampers two. Placement.

The Windies captain is on 49.

At the same 43-over stage Australia were the same - 233-6.

That'll be the plan to get that rate up at eight an over. Scoreboard pressure can get to the batsmen.

  13. WI 233-6published at 43 overs

Need 56 runs from 42 balls

West Indies might take not getting another run off Pat Cummins, so long as he doesn't take another wicket.

A very full ball is just about kept out by Carlos Brathwaite.

A short one to finish is fended off the gloves by Brathwaite. That was a snorting delivery.

Majestic over from Cummins - just one from it.

A word about Cummins. Three maidens in a 50-over match from one bowler is unheard of in this day and age.

  15. WI 233-6published at 42.2 overs

Holder takes a single to go to 47.

    "Backing you, Carlos."

  16. WI 232-6published at 42.1 overs

Jason Holder inside edges the first ball down, it rebounds up into his upper thigh and then off the back foot. Nervy.

  17. Postpublished at 17:55 British Summer Time 6 June 2019

Pat Cummins is back. He has two overs left.

Need 57 runs from 48 balls

Brathwaite just about survives the last two balls of the over.

  20. WI 232-6published at 41.4 overs

Holder flays it off an outside edge, the fielder gets across and that's just a single.
