Australia skipper Aaron Finch announces an unchanged team and says: "I probably would have had a bat first anyway, it looks dry and hopefully it will spin later. We are starting to take the key moments in games.

  2. Captain's viewpublished at 10:06 British Summer Time 6 June 2019

West Indies captain Jason Holder: "I think our fast bowlers can extract whatever is in the wicket early on. The nature of the wickets in England is that they don't change very much. We just have to remain disciplined and remain aggressive like we were in our first game against Pakistan."

I heard one observer say that "any wicketkeeper in the tournament could take that catch". I predict this guy might not have got to it....

Anyway, it's time for the toss at Trent Bridge.

Now what about this catch then? I think it is right up there with the best, simply because of the reaction time required and the height Quinton de Kock has to reach. Lots of people saying the Ben Stokes one was better, what do you think? Let's not sow discord, we have enough disharmony in the world after all, but I think this one is as good.

This cool cat can still purr with the best of them, Mr Christopher Henry Gayle hit six fours and three sixes in his 50 from 34 balls to set the Windies on their way to victory over Pakistan in a mere 13.4 overs.

How good were the Windies against Pakistan? I'm looking forward to seeing their new 22-year-old Jamaican paceman Oshane Thomas, who only made his debut last October but has already taken 19 wickets and claimed 4-27 to help dismiss Pakistan for 105.

We'll have the toss in just a few moments but there are glorious conditions in Nottingham this morning, with very little chance of a disruption - so unless we have a tie, one of these two will take a 100% record into their third match.

It's the first World Cup meeting between the World Cup's first two finalists since 2007 and having lost their first four matches against the mighty Windies in the 70's and 80's, the Australians have claimed four of the last five.
