    Roy 67, Bairstow 40

You would not want to get in the way of a Jason Roy cover drive and he thumps Mustafizur for his ninth four. Run-out could be the only way he is getting out and there is a mix-up as Jonny does not want to come for the second, but Roy pulls rank and starts running anyway, in belligerent Boycott-style. The throw from the boundary comes to the wrong end and Bairstow is able to scamper home. The England pair will talk this one through between overs.

This is Bairstow and Roy's eight century partnership in ODI cricket in 29 innings. 15 times they have scored at least 50 and they average 64 per partnership.

At home they have a truly incredible record. This is their seventh hundred stand in 14 opening partnerships and they have three more over 60.

Hobson: What do you do as the Bangladesh captain? He needs to save Shakib for later, but has to break this partnership before they become unstoppable.

Delicately played from Bairstow, a leg glance at Shakib and it trickles away to the boundary to bring up the England 100.

    Roy 58, Bairstow 34

If it's 81mph and wide Roy is unlikely to miss out and he lashes Mustafizur over the covers for his eighth four, in addition to that superb six.

I think England will be very happy with their start. Trevor Bayliss has talked a lot to them about smart cricket. This is where the team has developed. They are not all about smashing it every ball. They have had to work the ball around and have played cleverly against Shakib.

I think it is an excellent start. When you have lost a previous game it is important to start solid. This will have calmed a few nerves in the dressing room.

Let's see if KP is right with that typically bold prediction. Shakib back in the attack and just the wide and single from it, taking the leading edge of Bairstow and crouching to the ground in exasperation as the ball loops to safety. The wind is fairly tearing across.

Here's some of Jonny's best bits...

    Roy 51, Bairstow 34

It's not just big-hitting from Roy, a skilfully angled bat and he collects his seventh four to reach fifty from 38 balls. Saifuddin has gone for 33 from his first three.

    Eng 82-0published at 11.2 overs

Majestic straight drive for six from Roy, but not so textbook from the member of the groundstaff as the ball slips through his hands and he topples back onto the covers.

England scored 15 runs in the first five overs which was their second slowest start since the 2015 World Cup. In overs 6-10 they scored 52 runs and that is the third most they have scored in that period.

It has been an innings of two tenths so far.

Daniel Davies: It doesn't matter if England have a slow start: no wickets after 15 and this team can push on to a huge score.

Left-arm seamer Mustafizur - who didn't dive for that catch earlier - is the new bowler in the mid-eighties mph and Bairstow looks more comfortable with this, flicking off his pads for his fourth boundary.
