    Coulter-Nile c Sarfaraz b Wahab 2 (Aus 299-7)

    And another falls!

It's in the slot from Wahab Riaz and Nathan Coulter-Nile leans back, attempting to smash it away.

But he miscues and deflects it low off the inside edge, with wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed diving to take a decent catch behind.

    Pakistan just keep chipping away.

Mohammad Amir was at the end of his run, ready to bowl his final over.

He is then informed that Wahab Riaz will be bowling this over.

A bit of shambles. Anyway, here comes Wahab. Pakistan are saving Amir's final over for now.

  3. Aus 298-6published at 46 overs

    Run rate 6.48

What do we reckon from here? Eight an over gets them 330. Australia will be hoping for 340 plus.

How costly will these late wickets be for Australia?

Nathan Coulter-Nile struck a vital 92 against West Indies but you wouldn't bank on him hitting that crisply every time.

Australia's lack of power down the order when sending Glenn Maxwell in early looks to be costing them the total they should have got today.

Mohammad Amir is now level with New Zealand's Lockie Ferguson on top of the wicket-taking charts with eight.

The Pakistan fans are dancing in the crowd. The wickets are coming, but are they coming too late?

  10. wicket

    Marsh c Shoaib b Amir 23 (Aus 288-6)

    This catching thing is catching.

A fairly scratchy knock from Shaun Marsh, summed up by him trying to up the tempo but not looking too comfortable doing so.

He goes for a big lofted drive off Mohammad Amir but ends up hitting it much higher than long.

Shoaib Malik steadies himself at long-on and completes the catch. Amir has three.

It's quite comical seeing the Pakistan fielders running and diving all over the place. They've never seemed to be in the place they are meant to be today.

It's like watching an under-11s game where there are four or five kids who have never played and don't know where they are meant to be.

  15. Aus 286-5published at 44 overs

    Marsh 22, Carey 8

Alex Carey punches down the ground to mid-off and sets off. The throw comes in and misses. Carey was home anyway.

Hassan Ali spoils a decent over by serving up a bit of a long hop on leg stumps that Carey backs away and carves through the covers for four.

There are still a few empty seats around the ground. We were told it was a sell out today, I expected it to be absolutely heaving.

This will give Australia's bowlers some encouragement, there is definitely something still left in this pitch.

  18. Aus 278-5published at 43 overs

    Amir 8-2-20-2

Alex Carey can give it a whack, though not off Mohammad Amir bowling like this as the new Aussie batsman plays and misses. Swing still there for Amir.

Carey does get off the mark, tapping into mid-wicket for a single.

Shaun Marsh unfurls an ungainly flay at the last ball and misses. Amir grins.

Another sublime over from Amir - one run and one wicket. He has 2-20 off eight overs. Superb.
