Carlos Brathwaite is the new man at the crease.
Root, promoted to open in absence of injured Roy, becomes first England batsman to score three WC hundreds
Morgan (back) & Roy (hamstring) both injured and don't bat in England's run chase
Windies bowled out for 212 in 44.4 overs - Pooran 63, Wood 3-18, Archer 3-30
Russell and Gayle were both dropped - England have now dropped as many catches as Pakistan in this WC (8)

England pride themselves on their fielding, they are usually an excellent fielding side. We all drop them - as I know...
If West Indies can get up to 270 they're in the game.
Russell c Woakes b Wood 21 (WI 188-6)
Chris Woakes holds on!
A horrible shot from Andre Russell, not looking at the ball, bat pointing up like a periscope, and he hoicks the ball out to Woakes on the boundary. It was short, tempting Russell, and he went after it.
It's a slow trudge off for Russell.
Time for pace, in the form of Mark Wood.
It's been a successful day for Joe Root with the ball.
Run-rate 5.11
Andre Russell is hobbling a bit here...
Absolute filth from Joe Root. Five wides!
I think this is a knuckle ball, and Root has got it all shades of wrong. It misses everyone, batsman, keeper, and fielder, and races away to the ropes.

Simon Witt: How many catches are we gonna drop/miss this World Cup? Do this in the semis/final and we can wave our chances of taking the trophy home goodbye.
That, however, is a terrific bit of work by Jonny Bairstow at backward point.
He throws himself in front of the path of the ball to stop Nicholas Pooran carving a boundary away off Joe Root.
Andre Russell has had some tape applied to his wrist and he looks to be okay.
Just quietly - England's fielding has been a bit up and down in this World Cup, hasn't it?
Andy Zaltzman
Test Match Special statistician
Andre Russell has struggled against spin in his ODI career, he averages 24 and has been out 15 times, scoring at 6.8 an over.
Against pace he scores at 8.5 an over and averages 34.
Hmm.
Andre Russell almost swung himself off his feet trying to smash that last six, and he's fallen to the ground in agony. It looks to be his left wrist - which he's had trouble with recently - that's causing him some grief.
Out comes the physio.

You don't want to drop the likes of Andre Russell. Has he hurt himself with that last shot?
Another top edge - and another six!
Adil Rashid should have had Andre Russell out for four. Instead he's been smacked for two giant sixes.
And, naturally, Andre Russell carves a huge six over long-on.
Insult to injury.
Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
He doesn't get a paw on it, didn't even get there! He was angry when Mark Wood dropped one earlier. That went high.
My word.
Butterfingers! High into the air by Andre Russell, going after Adil Rashid, and Chris Woakes does all the hard work, charging around at deep mid-wicket to get under the ball. Woakes has an awful lot of time to consider his options and ends up with the ball bursting through his hands.
Ouch.
Pooran 51, Russell 3
West Indies can't get Joe Root away at the minute. They'll have to settle themselves with another smattering of singles.
Joe Root dismissed Steve Smith in an ODI back in January 2018.
And that was at a time when no-one, not even the weather, was getting Smith out.

Dave Fassam: Joe Root is a special cricketer, intelligent bowling and he has an uncanny knack of picking up wickets.
Harry Henderson: First time we've seen Root bowl this tournament, and he's already taken 2 wickets. Feel he's still somehow underrated as a player.
