  1. Ban 96-1published at 13 overs

    Target 322

The burly figure of Oshane Thomas, who was the fifth bowler used when he rattled Pakistan with 4-27, is cut neatly at 89mph to the boundary by Shakib, who is up to fourth in the runscoring list for the tournament.

Let's take a look at the only wicket to fall so far as Russell tucks up Soumya.

  3. Ban 89-1published at 12 overs

    Tamim 37, Shakib 15

Russell took a tumble in his delivery stride during that last over and he has gone off the field. So with 35 coming from the last three overs it is the powerfully built 31-year-old Shannon Gabriel, who took two wickets in the last match against England to take up the attack. No justice for the "Archangel" as a Shakib leading edge flies to fine leg for his second four.

  5. Ban 81-1published at 11 overs

    Tamim 36, Shakib 9

The runs keep flowing as Tamim reaches 30 for the first time in the tournament with a fluent fourth boundary through the covers to an 89mph delivery from Russell. Jubilation in the crowd and they are urging the Tigers on, Tamim rising to the challenge with a pull to the boundary.

That was an amazing shot - he just ran down the wicket at him and flat-batted it past mid-off.

  9. Ban 70-1published at 10 overs

    Target 322

The West Indies quicks took three wickets in the first 10 overs against Pakistan and four in the first eight against Australia but Tamim cracks Holder away through the covers off the back foot for his second boundary.

Shakib has certainly come out full of intent, he takes a step down the wicket to an 85mph delivery and blazes it back past the bowler for four. The end of the powerplay and the West Indies were a very different 32-1 at the same stage.

Very gloomy at Taunton now and there is rain falling. The floodlights have gone on but we are going to carry on and Tamim is seeing it perfectly well, pulling another boundary.

It's a good start by Bangladesh, they are ahead of where West Indies were. It's about not thinking about the final end target and breaking it down into 10 over chunks.

  11. Ban 56-1published at 9 overs

    Target 322

The experienced Shakib is in first wicket down, eight hundreds and 44 fifties in his collection and he is confidently away with a neat drive for three.

He has just been dismissed but let's take a look at Soumya's attacking exploits.

West Indies needed that wicket. This time Russell got the ball into the body and Soumya tried to make room for himself and just guided it and that made it a very simple catch for Chris Gayle.

    Soumya c Gayle b Russell 29 (Ban 52-1)

Soumya had just brought up the fifty with an upper cut for six but gets tucked up by Russell and it comes gently off the glove to allow Gayle to stoop to his left and claim a comfortable catch.

Yes and 19 of those came in one over as the Fizz went flat momentarily. Bangladesh's 330 in their opening match against South Africa is their highest ODI score and only once have they reached 322 batting second - making exactly that against Scotland in 2015.

A confident stroke off the back foot from Tamim through the covers brings him two and he collects two more off Holder with a controlled pull. A fine start from the Tigers.

  18. Ban 40-0published at 7 overs

    Tamim 11, Soumya 22

Here comes the first change and it is Andre Russell, who like Gayle was dismissed for a duck earlier. With no Brathwaite today they are going to need some overs from the injury-plagued all-rounder, who despite his fitness concerns is already up at 91mph and concedes only two singles.

  20. Ban 38-0published at 6 overs

    Target 322

There is a huge cheer as Gayle, in his Universe Boss embroidered shoes, tumbles to his left like a stately oak tree being felled to parry a thick edge. Economical again from Holder, 11 dots in his first three overs and only one boundary conceded.
